A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Welcome to Warm Fuzzy Wednesday at the Finest. For those who start counting the days on Monday until the weekend, we're halfway there! So we're here to banish those doldrums and make you smile inside! Please feel free to post sweet graphics and/or little stories that make you feel all warm and fuzzy - or just come by and give us a smile. Only two more days 'til the weekend!

My best to you and Cali and Mom and the big puppies....!!!

Hope you're all warm and toasty tonight... I loved the latest "playing in the snow" pictures. Easy for me to say, right? While you're freezing, out here in SoCal we're ... well, it's plenty chilly here too!! Enough so for heavy scarves, hats, overcoats and all.

Last night was stunning, wish I could describe the scene at 5 o'clock when I came out of work. A huge mass of mammatus clouds to the West. Other varieties of clouds mixed in with that and about the sky.

The mountains to the east and north were nearly palpable --- shadows and folds standing out, seeming to breathe --- though many miles away, the air was so clear, and snow on the furthest mountain range. The sunset reached a moment of nearly blinding golden light, and some western clouds were illuminated around the edges. It was all a special half hour or so...

Wow, you had a St. Bernard. Too much! We don't see those around SoCal, I tell ya! Now, I have to add ShihTzu to the list. As I walked this evening, saw my neighbor I stop and chat with. Her doggy is a ShihTzu and she's very sweet.

Oliver is doing great. Of course we have been busy with Valentine's and upcoming St. Paddy's day. I love corn beef and cabbage so everybody else has to eat it.

Yes, lonestar has been working in the yard and loving it. A lot remains to be done. The weather has been perfect--not a cloud in the sky and high temp of about 75.

Yes, I love all animals. I grew up in dairy country and have met many, both tame and wild.

Did you grow up on a dairy farm? Sounds like you have some interesting stories to tell...

He likes to sleep with me when it's cold out, so it's fine, but when it's warm he wants to do that kneading thing of his to the underneath side of my upper arm. I look like I have been a pin cushion.

I grew up in a rural neighborhood bordered by two dairy farms. Us kids spent half our childhoods at the farms, creating all kinds of havoc and learning tons of stuff.
