Maryland and illegal aliens
Hello all the wacky Democrat members of the Maryland General Assembly are at it again. They want to give lawbreaking illegal alien kids instate tuition to attend the University of Maryland.
This is an outrage I for one who’d grandparents came from Germany in 1950 the right way, btw am I the only one who seems to think amnesty and turning a blind eye to illegal aliens, is a slap in the face to all immigrants who came over the right way? Before I get carried away with my rant I want to ask two things of folks.
If they could call up CASA De Maryland and express your opposition to the bill which would give illegal alien kids in state tuition at Maryland Colleges and Universities. You can reach CASA at

And let him know we support him and tell him to hold the line against the radical illegal aliens lobby.
It is good you are out front early on this.
This and so much more is what we have been puting up with here in Calif, especially San Diego.
Many FReepers in other states who haven't been touched by this and are open border bots, I hope they realize this is coming their way also.
Keep up the good work
No sir, you are not. My mother came to this country from Canada in 1961 after waiting three years for her papers. Now think about it. A native English speaker who grew up 10 miles from the US border could have easily broken the law and blended in here. She chose the high road, and at the age of 76 is a US citizen itching to join the Minutemen.
California BTTT....I hope you have better luck than we have had.
We'll stand by your side...
I'm a Maryland native, but I'm out of here as soon as I comfortably can be. Maybe six months. This place has gone over the deep end.
Tonight or tomorrow they're trying to ban all semi auto guns for Christ's sake.
Ditto. The Dem political machine is firmly in control. They have Baltimore City and Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties. That's all they need. There are probably 40 other states I'd like better (and maybe soon, that number will be 49)
We've got no income tax. Maybe soon no property tax too! We have a Republican dominated legislature. The only problem is that droves of liberals from NY/NJ have moved here, as well as a lot of 'rat voters from PR. Not surprisingly, crime has greatly increased. It's probably only a matter of time before 'rats make us a tax hell and drive this state into the ground like they have the northeastern states. The judges and corrupt city councilmen, tend to be stealth 'rats elected in races labeled as "non-partisan" .
But no in-state tuition for legal citizens. Maryland makes me sick (and I live here...).
Time for out of state kids to show up and refuse to give their real name just to get in-state tuition.
And doesn't this violate Federal law - aiding and abetting law breaking?
Gov. O'Malley has a former executive w/ CASA of MD on his staff, as well as Ike Leggett (Executive of the People's Republic of Maryland). Ana Sol is a big supporter of CASA. She likes to talk about social justice, but social justice for her is pro abortion, pro gay, pro illegal immigration. She loves to play the race card too, by saying that anyone who is against this type of bill is a racist.
Maryland is really going to hell in a handbasket.
See my posting on the Catholic Church and Casa of Maryland. The Catholic Archdiocese has given grants to CASA, as well as, links to it on the Maryland Catholic Conference website.
I have witheld donations to the Cardinal's Appeal and Campaign for Human Development to protest this and have let them know it in writing.
When i said I am i ment as in a General term of immagrants who came here the right way...
Andy
I think you all are right i have spend my 24 years alivie living in MD.. and fighting for the Conservative Cause since i was 15. We were all excited when Gov. Bob was elected in 2002 but as Ross Pierpont said if you don't watch the Dems they will steal the election... and i think they did in 2006. Also they did it in the primary i can't imagine anyone beating the old gaurd Democrar Willie Don Schaefer .. but that ultra wacko peter francho who seems to think as comptroller he is going to keep abortion leagal, level the playing field for minorities and be environmentally responsible... what does any of this have to do with being COMPTROLLER nothing...
My friends i think i too like other Conservatives from maryland like Linda Chevez and Alan Keyes I too must leave this state. Maryland is beyound hope. the 2006 election has knocked out all republicans from Monkey County, no more is Howie Denis or the state senator both gone... both were horible for Conservatives very squishy...
I am thinkiing on North Carolina, Arizona or Texas... although Florida sounds good. Let the Libs have Maryland i guess.... but still think while i live in this great state is the politicans that screwed it all up... I even think Taxachusetts would be better then Maryland at this stage in the game.
I hate to break it to you, but Maryland went over the deep end long ago.
We had a good run the last four years.
On a Side note has anyone called Delegate ANA SOL GUTIERREZ, i called yesturday and her office refused to tell me her position on the issue we all know what it is but nice to hear the justification... also her Assistant eledged my family which has a Germen ancestory might of been NAZIs... She also was telling me how hard it is for immagrants to come to america... To that my reply was well i don't like waiting in line at the Super market, does that mean i can just walk out with what i want... no responce from her... Don't know who she thinks she is, i think she feels she is like a member of Congress and can't answer us pesents. Please all call her office and pleas post back if anyone can get Senorita GUTIERREZ on the phone.
Yes, I suppose you did, but Maryland's deeply-ingrained Democratic Party adherents reasserted themselves and you saw the train wreck that occurred. I cannot believe the GOP has any future in that state. I suppose you could keep the faith and keep on trying but in the end it'll be like banging your head against the wall. If you couldn't win that Senate seat with such an attractive candidate and keep the governorship with such an outstanding governor, what hope is there?
Ping!
Yes i agree with all of you i have started looking for a new home in Virginia... It is sad... They say Maryland is one of the most educated states in the Union... well i beg to differ....
