Hunter's campaign ads may violate campaign laws MANCHESTER, N.H. Republican presidential candidate Duncan Hunter, a California Congressman, has used his political action committee to run New Hampshire TV ads introducing himself to voters -- in what some specialists say could be a violation of campaign finance laws.

You are exactly right, next they will march out his check cashing policy, he was in on the bum check deals as well, so was half the congress... our Senator barbie was the worst kiter...but this will be a bad mark against Duncan..
Of course there are questions he is republican.
Those were my thoughts exactly.
By that reasoning, the Indianapolis Colts should have walked into the 2007 Super Bowl unopposed.
I'd imagine you would have counseled General Washington to surrender after the fall of Ft Lee in November 1776.
Sheesh.
"He is in some pretty dangerous [legal] territory," said Jan Witold Baran, a noted campaign law lawyer who served as general counsel to the Republican National Committee and to President George H.W. Bush's 1988 presidential campaign.
Yup, the non-conservative, open-borders, "New World Order" wing that looks nothing like the constituency.
>>I thought no one's ever heard of Duncan Hunter. I wonder if the GOP is getting nervous because he's a conservative.<<
I'd bet more people read about the complaint than saw the two ads... so anyway, name recognition ought to go up.
You got it. Its just more whining. Also the Dems want to keep conservatives like Hunter low on name recognition so the conservatives will not have any say in government.
This is basically obstruction tactics, for they know that Hunter is highly electable, and the Dems do NOT want the electorate to know about Hunter, but crow over liberal Giulliani.
Where's Denny Crane on this??? This is Boston Legal's case, isn't it??? Did some midget put out a press release or something???
The article doesn't mention the timing of the ads, and the DH spokesman indicates that the defense rather is that they were issue ads, not campaign ads.
"We believe they are just issue ads and as such we can run them where we want as often as we want," said Tyler, noting that Hunter does not identify himself as a presidential candidate.
Great for DH if he is putting free-speech limiting FEC regulations to the test. It is also to his credit that the Globe deigns to print a hit piece on him (they took a break from their Romney hit piece series).
Sounds like somebody in the GOP is getting nervous.
Sounds like the "Powers That Be" are getting nervous...
If Hunter gets 3 votes I'll be one of them...
Are they pounding Romney there? Figures. It will be interesting to see how Mitt does.
The GOP isn't doing themselves any favors by adopting democrat tactics and tools.
So the Globe is after Hunter while spouting RINO talk for proof. I am beginning to like Duncan more and more.
A reporter's life can be so aggravating, especially when you need invent the facts.

The GOP does'nt want this guy,,,it's getting evident...Neither do the Dems.......Do the American People ( that's us ,as far as I'm concerned ) want this guy..,,,? I do and I'll write him in if I have to..
Proof that Hunter's stirring up the muddy waters. ";^)
