I for one am done with Hollywood and won't be going to the theater again.

I would add to that list - volunteer to do PSAs calling for government to clear the way for more nuclear power plants to be built. If they really cared about reducing fossil fuels, they should be screaming at the top of their lungs for more nuclear plants to be built while we develop other alternative energies.

I agree with you about the "old Hollywood". For the past few years I attend (as one of the organizers) and "Anti-Oscar" Party in Manattan usually held at Kennedy's Restaurant on 57th Street. It is always held the night of the Oscars. The guests wear name tags of the favorite actor/actress- I was Audrey Hepburn- and bring Trivia questions on the movie classics of yesteryear (i.e.Lawrence of Arabia, Gone With The Wind,etc). We eat dinner, chat and ignore the Oscars. There are no more Stars today - just "celebrities".

You are right, there was a time when Hollyweird was not so weird and made good movies. I tried to watch "Departed" the so called best movie but it was too disgusting. If they took the "F" word out, it would have been a silent film.

I didn't watch much of the Oscars, but unfortunately during the time I had it on was the time that Al Gore recieved an Oscar for his crockumentary on Gorebull Warming. I knew he was going to get the award, but the loud "NO!" that I let out caused my cat to wake up and give me a dirty look. It made me sick how Allie tried not to cry and chummed around with the Hollyweirdites.

The hilarious thing is there was a big snow fall going on on the East Coast, and there was a rather large ice/snow storm a couple weeks ago.

These people would love us all to try to conserve in our homes, transportation, and purchases, but they don't. The amount of energy required to light and heat their mansions must be mind boggling. They ride around in limos, large SUVs, and private jets. You'd never Allie's fat face on a bus or bicycle. Then, you must consider those expensive dresses and jewelry. The amount of money spent if added up is probably into the billions. The Hollyweirdites supporting this is a joke and makes me not want to support it.

I think there are much more pressing things than global warming, such as the 4,100 daily abortions. I'd love to make a documentary on abortion. I wonder how many Hollyweirdites would clap for me, not that I'd get the award anyway. Abortion takes far more lives than global warming ever will.
