Guy will be on fire for gun rights if he's brought back into the fold. Otherwise, gun grabbers will use him as a martyr to paint lovers of the Constitution as psychotic, unforgiving meanies. Let the guy apologize and lobby against gun grabbing laws. I'm sure he'd do it gladly.

After Zumbo's decades of positive contributions to hunting..... he made a mistake, he apologised for it, but everyone wants their pound of flesh.

Judging from some of the replies to this post, people are missing the essence of the Zumbo controversy. Those of us who support the RKBA know that even ONE dissent, one sign of weakness, one sign of division and the gun grabbers will use it like water does on a rocky hillside. It gets into the cracks (the split), and then weakens the rocks until it fractures. They will use Zumbo and others like him to weaken the Gun Rights movement, divide it, and then make an assault on it to defeat it. They are relentless, cunning, and ruthless. Unfortunately, Zumbo is collateral damage and to them, a useful idiot . Sad, I grew up on his columns along with others.

Zumbo has screwed up big-time, and I don't see anyone taking him seriously for the rest of his career (if there is any). Hunting with Ted Nugent, preferably with nothing but ARs and AKs, ought to adjust his carburetor enough so folks don't call him "Bwana" anymore.

As for forgiveness, I suggest a reading or rereading of Matthew 18:22-35.
