Guy will be on fire for gun rights if he's brought back into the fold. Otherwise, gun grabbers will use him as a martyr to paint lovers of the Constitution as psychotic, unforgiving meanies. Let the guy apologize and lobby against gun grabbing laws. I'm sure he'd do it gladly.
Just thinking strategically.

Forget strategically.
What did this clown do?
I'm betting he's over 60.
Senility strikes again!

Sickening stuff.
After Zumbo's decades of positive contributions to hunting..... he made a mistake, he apologised for it, but everyone wants their pound of flesh.

"he made a mistake"
He revealed a weird elitist streak and an alarming lack of understanding, of the second amendment. I don't think there's going to be any do-over for this guy. I live just south of the Remington headquarters, and have done some business with them, catalog work for their Custom Gun Shop division. They're headquartered in rural North Carolina because of all the anti-gun attitude in Delaware, and they wanted to be in a welcoming environment. I don't blame them in the least for severing the relationship.

After Zumbo's decades of positive contributions to hunting..... he made a mistake, he apologised for it, but everyone wants their pound of flesh. Well, I just read his farewell blog entry, and I can see that my senility comment was "right on".
Do you want me to post the crap he wrote so that the Freepers can judge for themselves?
This isn't a question of "a pound of flesh". This guy after all these years has gone 'round the bend and there's no coming back.
Some events have permanent consequences.
If the Brady Bunch decides to use him for propaganda, so much the better for the rest of us. Once senility destroys judgement and reason, a graceful permanent departure is the best medicine.
There is a certain arrogance that comes with advancing age that is all the more despicable because otherwise intelligent people should be aware of it, and prepare and plan accordingly.

No, I've just been reading The Art of War.I've read Sun Tzu several times and I got my copy right here.
I don't remember the chapter where senile stupidity deserves or warrants a second or third chance in the middle of a war because of sentimental reasons...

18. This is called, using the conquered foe to augment one's own strength.

Zombo should start calling himself the fourth Dixie Chick, and just deal with it. The media should also take note that it aint just foolish women who are subject to wrath if their words are ill conceived.
Gotta admit, I feel sorry for the old goat, because he had no idea what the Internet could do to him.
Cuse' me, while I go clean my terrorist weapons.

You are forgetting a few passages reminding one to make sure that their enemy is completely destroyed, so that vengeance is never a factor.

Are you claiming that he is completely defeated and unable take vengeance? He might be unwilling to do so, but certainly not unable.

I don't think he is able. Who is going to fund the dude? Unless he plans to take up with the ACLU, I think he is going to be spending a lot of quiet time in the cabin.
Yeah, I think he is defeated. Soundly defeated.

If the Brady Bunch decides to use him for propaganda, so much the better for the rest of us. I'd be a bit surprised if they haven't already started doing so. It's red meat for them -- lifelong hunting advocate calls for banning evil terrorist weapons (a.k.a semi-automatic hunting rifles).

10. Having inward spies, making use of officials of the enemy.
11. Having converted spies, getting hold of the enemy's spies and using them for our own purposes.
12. Having doomed spies, doing certain things openly for purposes of deception, and allowing our spies to know of them and report them to the enemy.

his apology wasn't a real apology. It was a lame attempt at an apology, only issued after it became apparent he might lose some money.

But he has no contacts. You cant be a spy without contacts.
The guy is radioactive. He couldn't get a job cutting grass. The NRA has all the spies they need, and can pick and choose from folks less self destructive, or more able to forecast the reactions to incredibly dumb comments.

He basically called a fair number of Remington's customers "terrorists" with that remark. Senile or no, why is anyone surprised at their reaction?
