The only thing I saw at 10:21 was the back of my eyelids (as I dozed off in one of the kid's beds, lol)
I was outside at 10:25 (according to the coffemaker clock), but saw nothing.
Did you see it or not, SittinYonder?

when it "exploded" or whatever the proper term is, it was the just beautiful. almost like a huge firework but only lasting for less than a second..if that makes any sense..

Not a sound...looked like fireworks or a welding arc...but I know of no fireworks that can be seen from Winder and Athens

Saw one like it about 10 or 12 years ago. Was watching TV inside and happened to glance out into the back yard just in time to see the whole area illuminated with a moving, bright light, much brighter than the full moon, and this was a very dark night.
Ran outside and saw an orange colored ball with an illuminated tail that looked as big as the full moon in the sky speeding off in a south-westerly direction. It made a roaring noise.
Looked like it crashed into the top of the nearby mountains, but read the next day that it was a meteor estimated to be the size of a basketball that crashed into the Pacific Ocean hundreds of miles away!

Hope you don't live near Horsell Common :)
Actually I'm jealous. I've seen bolides twice. But this sounds much better than the ones I've seen.

"Did anyone else see this? It was truly spectacular.
Hang on. I'll go look."Many years ago, spending a boring night as staff duty officer, I got about a dozen calls reporting UFOs.
I called the local USAF radar site as well as tower, OSI, police, etc.
When I tried to recontact the radar installation I got a busy signal, then nothing.
Later, after an aspirin and cooling off peroiod involving several more reports; I did get in touch with the radar guys.
They'd all been outside looking for the flying saucers.

I looked up and saw a meteor streaking overhead, white hot, which then broke up into orange, glowing fragments.
You are mistaken. What you saw was a bottle rocket that a couple of neighborhood kids shot off. You should hear a knock at your door shortly.......
