Likewise, Mary was assumed body and soul into Heaven.
RC myth, not in scripture. As was her supposed Immaculate Conception.
Only Jesus ascended. Only Jesus was born without sin.

RC myth, not in scripture. As was her supposed Immaculate Conception. Gee, thanks so much for that insight, GWB. And what college of theology did you graduate from? Nice way to insult all the Catholics on this board. How sweet.

Yes Jesus ascended through his own power as God. Mary was assumed, not the same thing.

You still have the opportunity to convert to the one, true religion, and correct your misapprehensions of Catholicism, assuming you have not died yet when you read this.

The RC compiled the scriptures, didn't they?

Only Jesus was born without sin. I'd disagree with you on that one, but the point of it is that we both disagree with the story as it is preposterous and doesn't square with either of our sets of beliefs.
Other than that, I decline to involve myself in religious p*ssing matches.

That sound you hear is the Church Fathers laughing at your ignorance.
Many other things you won't find in Scripture:
The word Bible.
The word Trinity.
The word Incarnation.
Plus this gem:
"But there are also many other things which Jesus did; which, if they were written every one, the world itself, I think, would not be able to contain the books that should be written." John 21:25
Any idea what copy of Sacred Scripture Jesus used?

As was her supposed Immaculate Conception.
Martin Luther believed that "RC myth."
If you believe that the Immaculate Conception and the Assumption are myths, then you're welcome to that opinion. But you should try not to insult those brother Christians of yours who believe it. You may come to believe it some day yourself--at your particular judgment.

What do you make of the above two scriptures?

Immaculate Conception:
Luke 1:34-35
Mary asked the angel, "But how can I have a baby? I am a virgin? The angel replied, "THe Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby born to you will be holy and he will be called the Son of God.
