No, his troubling vote was the YES on the 527 bill.Yes on the 527 bill is only one of the votes they find 'troubling'. The ones I posted were on the list, too. What do you find troubling about the 527 bill?

I know, but the other votes are legitimate conservative points. And the 527 bill expanded McCain-Feingold and I don't want that. Do you?

Sorry
Not everyone of Hunters supporters are nasty, just like not all of Guiliani's are.

If Hunter's poll numbers steadily remain low (1%). OK, let's be generous and give him 5% support by the end of the summer. At that rate he'll be dropping out of the race long before the primaries even begin. And we know that Newt won't be running if Rudy's polls numbers remain strong.
Mark my words.

See what you miss when you don't read??? (Roll over, Kev...I need more blanket....)

I was off FR for a few hrs. and just saw you post to me.
I could also add the tag teams that try to circle around Hunter posters.
Also this poll is not a one candidate poll.
I see the names of Rudy, Hunter and other options.
Here is the chance for all the Rudy folks to jump in.

This is so transparent it is laughable, but I did vote write-in.
I wonder if anybody on DU has posted a similar poll featuring Hillary and Zell Miller.

And the 527 bill expanded McCain-Feingold and I don't want that. Do you?It didn't expand it in a bad way though. It was actually an improvement to the stinking McCain-Feingold bill that Hunter voted against. Under the 527 bill the '527' organizations would have had to crawl out from under their rocks and name their donors. The labor unions and special interest groups were screaming against it, so that should tell you all you need to know.

The same was true with McCain-Feingold, that doesn't make it a good law. Anyway, there are a lot of other votes on which Rep. Hunter voted the wrong way. Unfortunately, he's not a fsical conservative.

Speaking for myself, presently a supporter of Giuliani - the more you demand people like me shut up, the more determined I become to fling defiance right back in your face. You will not silence me nor the others. Don't presume you can. Ivan

EV, I have been mulling something over in my mind for a while and maybe you could make a comment.
The Republican party got its start as an antislavery party. Probably were considered to be extremists in their day. Their goal was to end slavery and free the slaves, but somewhere along the way, the Republican party lost the moral high ground concerning black americans. They are almost exclusively democrats, now.
So what's on my mind is, what would happen if we were to end up running a pro abortion candidate for president, like Rudy Giulianni? Could we end up ceding on the abortion issue and end up losing the moral high ground there, also? Would we ever be able to claim to be the party that respects the sanctity of life ever again?
I hope you can make sense of my ramblings! Writing isn't one of my strong suits!
