They didn't hold Michael Moore to that standard, why would they make Al Gore toe the line?

Documentaries that distort reality and shade the truth are insulated from criticism so long as they advance left-wing causes like global warming and gun control, said independent filmmaker Dan Gifford, a former Oscar nominee and Emmy Award winner.

Michael "Marx" Moore set the precedent with "Fahrenheit 9/11".

He'll win it. Hollywood is too stupid and lazy to find out the truth for themselves.

Ah, the old DNC "forged but true" doctrine in application again..

Remember folks --- it's not the truth that matters but rather the seriousness of the charge..

Yet --- somewhere around 50% of American voters are stupid enough to believe anything the media or the DNC tells them..

There is no way the liberal freaks in Hollywood would allow any other documentary to win. Al's got a sure thing.

I watched part of Algore's bloviating movie, and there was one chart showing the mandatory fuel mileage requirements in different countries, including China. According to Algore, US companies can't sell cars in China because they don't meet China's fuel economy requirements. But GM cars are the most popular foreign models in China, so Algore blatantly lies.

We all know that 'documentaries' acclaimed by the left are more fiction than fact.

The Oscars like the Grammys have been hijacked by the treasonists long ago. Like the Dipsy upchucks sweeping the Grammys, so too will Al the psychopath sweep. He`ll win and he will get a standing ovation with the likes of Ed Harris, Martin Sheen, Susan Sarandon clapping their hands till they bleed while giving off looks of anger and determination to show viewers how concerned they are about this latest leftist fantasy.

"Al Gore's movie on climate change is likely to win an Oscar for best documentary on Sunday"

One more reason to make sure no TV in my house is tuned in to the Oscars.
Let's see what ratings these Oscars in fakery get this year shall we?
If last year is any indication, the Oscar ratings will continue on thier downward spiral.

Algore's phony movie is too fake to qualify as a documentary! (But he'll win an oscar anyway)

The only substantive difference between the Al Gore movie and the films of Leni Riefenstahl is that Riefenstahl was a talented artist...

"John Berlau, author of a new book on the environmental movement entitled "Eco-Freaks," claims the polar bear scene alone should disqualify Gore's film from consideration for best documentary, because it departs from reality."

The entire Global warming scam departs from reality. It's nothing but a disguise for global socialism, global governance, and implementation of a new world earth religion Mother Earth "Gaia" Worship.

From further in the article:

"We were in a place politically and culturally in the 1990s where you were labeled as a right-wing nut to even suggest the government's official story was untrue," Gifford said.

"The same ones now saying you can't trust your government and you can't trust what they're saying about Iraq are ones who said it was disloyal and unpatriotic to say you can't trust your government back in the 1990s," he added.

Gifford said the Waco documentary withstood the criticism because actual footage was used and compelling evidence introduced.

What studies have documented drowning polar bears and if they are they are to be found at all are they in peer reviewed journals? Just because Gore says its true doesn't make it so. The very fact that Gore uses an animation to make his case of drowning polar bears is suspect. He could have at least had the guys at Reuters gin up some phony photos of drowned polar bears being fished out of the water by the "green helmet" guy from Lebanon.

Micheal Moore's "documentary" was full of fake scenes and lies. Since when did that matter?
