Oh I grasp them quite well.Enaging in deliberate ignorance is not grasping.
You simply cannot see the holes in your argument.
You can only believe that Rudy can win by refusing to face electoral and historical reality. Later.

he cannot win a national election without the conservative voteHe will get the responsible conservative vote. It's the irresponsible extremist single-issue rightwing vote he won't get, and won't need.

The only thing a President can do to impact abortion is appoint sound, constructionist Justices to the Supreme Court.
Guiliani has pledged to do that.
I believe him, at least as much as I believe any nominee.

You can only believe that Rudy can win by refusing to face electoral and historical reality. The electoral and historical reality is that pro-life Pennsylvanians haven't delivered Pennsylvania's electoral votes since 1988. And you really can't say ~they~ did it then.

Actually, you might not be, if you never had any values worth selling. Again, spoken like a tried-and-true Unappeasable.
If anyone disagrees with you, they must be gun-grabbing, abortion-loving, value-less sellouts, right?
It frankly doesn't bother me one bit. It just shows anyone who's paying attention what you and your candidates are really all about. Not exactly a great way of winning hearts and minds.

The electoral and historical reality is that pro-life Pennsylvanians haven't delivered Pennsylvania's electoral votes since 1988. And the reality is that the GOP will need those votes to have a chance to win in 2008. You cannot win by taking away a large block right off the bat.

Yes they are. :-D
Do you realize that this means a lot of people who agree with you on 'smaller govt' issues then get labeled, by you, as 'liberals'?
Kinda makes your use of the term meaningless. To you, 'liberal' is just an insult you use when someone doesn't agree with you about abortion.

The only thing a President can do to impact abortion is appoint sound, constructionist Justices to the Supreme Court. That is untrue. There's far more that a president can do on this issue.
Guiliani has pledged to do that.
Given his history on the issue of abortion and his selection of judges as Mayor, I believe that Giuliani is a liar when he says this.
I believe him, at least as much as I believe any nominee.

Not exactly a great way of winning hearts and minds. You're the one who came in here telling conservatives to take a hike and calling us wingnuts. And now you complain about the tone of the conversation? Another classic two-faced Rudy booster moment.

notably, 40% don't know enough about Obama to form an opinion We must make certain as people find out about him, they find out only BAD things, such as his lies in print and about his family, his 25 years as a Muslim and the fact that he converted a mere 11 months before his first run for office (coincidence?), etc.
To: dirtboy
Here's the difference, mate: we don't need you. Not at all.
You can scream and rant and pout all you like, but the coming election will be about re-capturing the center, not catering to an extremist base.
You, on the other hand, have a candidate who is currently polling at 2%. It would behoove you to play nice and earn yourself a seat at the table.

Kinda like the story I heard today, "elect Kerry or the post office will be shut down" lol.

It is a New York site... :)Not that it matters much, but the Quinnipiac Poll is out of Connecticut

The only thing a President can do to impact abortion is appoint sound, constructionist Justices to the Supreme Court.More classic Rudy booster spin. Clinton vetoed two PBA bans. Bush signed one.
Oh, and Rudy supported Clinton's vetoes. But now says he would support a bill like Clinton vetoed.
I believe him, at least as much as I believe any nominee.
He can't even get his own stories straight about his stances on abortion, and we are expected to believe him about strict constructionists? A guy who thinks the Bill of Rights does not apply in the Five Boroughs unless the mayor concurrs?

If Rudy does win the GOP primary (and that's still a big "if"), anyone who retains the faintest recollection of what "conservatism" really means is going to be faced with a disheartening Hobbes' choice between him and the dem candidate. At best, Rudy gets in and, if Congress isn't a stampeding herd of donks and RINOs at that time, no bad legislation will make it to his desk.
A damned thin string to be hanging our fundamental human rights on.
