US Congressman claims "Allahu Akbar" on SLC Shooting Tape.

KSL television (NBC Utah) took Congressman Chris Cannon (R) from Utah's third district to task for spreading the "rumor" that Allahu Akbar was shouted by the Trolley Square Shooter before his death. There are a number of Freepers who have looked into this issue and have strong indications that this Islamic war cry is on the video tape recorded by Mr. Danise who found himself inside Trolley Square the night of this horrible terrorist attack.

This Freeper (author) has contacted the Doug Wright Show (the talk show where Mr Cannon made his claim) at KSL and informed the show that indeed many of us believe that Allahu Akbar is on that tape.

Also the author has contacted the office of Rep. Cannon to let him know that there is good evidence to support his clam and that we just want the video evaluated to a firm conclusion. We are waiting to see what happens from here.

Here's one aspect of the "head in the sand" homeland security tactics being used to protect our country. The components of a disposable cell phone are used to construct IEDs. If the Muslim terrorists can do it in Iraq, they sure as hell can do it here. This is one story. During August of last year, there were at least a dozen.

In the very middle of the KUTV video, it is not the shooter's words, but the off-duty officer's - "OPD! Come on up! Come on up!" If you fix those words in mind while listening through quality speakers or a headphone, it becomes clear.

The off-duty Ogden (OPD) officer was standing on the upper level of the mall, and calling out to the responding SLC police officers.

You know.. I don't know what worries me more. The fact we have Muslims conducting individual acts of terrorism or the fact our government insists nothing is happening.

I agree with you. In fact I've suggested that the words that sound to some like allah akbar are in fact "Ogden officer" said hurridly so he wouldn't be shot by the other officers responding.

It could even be another officer telling a third officer that the armed man was an Ogden officer, after the words 'OPD" were issued.

Here's an idea - perhaps some tech savvy Freeper with the time could assemble a sort of data base of these types of stories on FR. Every story could be tracked over time to see what happens to the case. The details could be added as they become available. The handling of these types of cases after the fact is important. Think of it as a kind of citizens terror watch list. Raising awareness and educating people might be a good thing.

Perhaps I'm wrong on this one, but, wasn't there a clerk at a local Walmart some time ago, who also alerted the Feds re Muslim men trying to buy a large quantity of cell phones? I believe the purchase did not happen in that case as the clerk became suspicious.
