The whole House is elected every two years, most recently three months ago. Representatives are chosen by voting.
The open borders politicians represent the majority. The border hawks got their asses kicked.
Thems the facts, ma'am.
The majority of what? They do not represent the majority of Americans, who want the borders closed. They represent the OBL and the big money it brings into their campaign coffers and keeps them in their cushy jobs.
The Left (Hillary) will move to the right. Diane Feinstein herself is concerned with illegals coming into California. This issue will work.
Let's see... topic meanderings. I posted that Duncan Hunter fits the bill in terms of the planks posted by JimRob, that there's no need to hope for a Deus Ex Machina ending to the story. You did an LOL post which hinted that my candidate has no chance, so I responded with a patriotic call to go for it if we believe in it. If that's off topic, then so be it. Whatever. I'm growing weary of your nonsense. I do admire your chutzpah to take on the founder of FR with such boorish behavior, but it doesn't win any converts, only helps to sell popcorn. Buh bye.
They won elections, didn't they?
Amen, Boxsford. Jim, "What say you?"
"They won elections, didn't they?"
In 1992 Bill Clinton won by 43%. So, by your logic Bill Clinton represented the majority of the people. Don't think so!
Sadly, many people vote solely on name recognition, so we get the morons over and over again.
I'm with you!
...Freepmail with some information that you might like to see coming your way.
When it's a choice between a damned Dem and a GOPer, I vote GOP; always have!
The upcoming presidential election is one of the most important in our lifetime. Our side needs someone who can not only beat the Dem, but give us a lot of what we all claim that we want. Those who go the all or nothing route, or delusionally imagine that one of the bottom tier runners or someone who has yet to enter the race, can not only win the nomination, but beat the Dem candidate are fooling themselves.
But this is NOT the topic of this thread.
Carter told us to get used to smaller pieces of the pie,and Reagan won by telling us that we're going to bake more pies so we'll have just as big a piece as before (and maybe seconds).
A campaign of fear isn't the way to energize the voters, a campaign of hope is!
I have answered questions; also unlike most of those posting to me.
Duncan Hunter isn't going anywhere and I was polite to you, about that. I wished you "good luck" with your choice and laughed, as a sign of politeness.
You want to know WHAT doesn't "win converts"? The garbage posted to Rudy and Romney threads!
Spot on!
Amen to THAT. I can't wait for the day that we have a serious candidate with the guts to support an idea like that.

No way. FR is a conservative site Your guy worked tirelessly to get one of our most conservative Senators defeated. All over a grudge. No thanks. Don't want a guy like that around. He can post at DU.
Thank you so much for the excerpt and for your insights!
