>Anti-immigrant rhetoric is a loser.

LOL! First off, it is not rhetoric. It is a valid concern and major issue for the majority of Americans.

By your logic, McCain should be pulling away from the pack with the nomination due to his pro amnesty stance.

Hows that working out for him, again?

Obedience of the law is demanded; not asked as a favor.

We can have no “50-50” allegiance in this country. Either a man is an American and nothing else, or he is not an American at all.

I would not vote for Zell Miller before any of the Republican candidates except Ron Paul. Zell Miller has many liberal Democrat positions. Joe Lieberman is also a liberal Democrat except for his position on the war on terror.

Duncan Hunter?
Sam Brownback?
John McCaine?
Romney?
Giuliani?
Paul?
Thompson?

You didn't ask me, but IMHO, with the possible exception of Hunter, we do not have anywhere near our best squad on the field.
Draft a Dark Horse!
VP Should absolutely be a woman with the nerve and verve to attack Mrs. Clinton personally ... and on her written thoughts. She has no political record!
I absolutely cannot see American women flocking to Mrs. Clinton's standard if we had someone on the ticket with the ability to put her record as a Rapist's Enabler on the table.

And never call her by her first name. Mrs. Clinton is all this woman is ever going to be. It must be made crystal clear that by a vote for Mrs. Clinton, you get Mr. Clinton. A vote for her IS a vote for him.

***Make anti-immigration a major part of your platform and you are doomed.***

I agree anti-immgration is a loser. Anti-illegal immigration / pro-border security is a winner. The trick is to support border secuirty without sounding anti-Hispanic.

Dear Jim, It's been a while since I went through the appropriations bills, but last time I did, I identified $14B - yes, billion - in just ONE BILL that was being splashed all around the globe under Clinton for various and sundry programs.

Sounds like a good place to start. I'll try to work on it some and see what I can find!

You are nuts!
The two term traitor was BJ Clinton.

You are either nuts or have to use a calculator to count.

"A vote for her IS a vote for him."

But sadly, Americans have a poor memory, as TONS of Democrats would vote for Bubba in a heart-beat if they could - and some would vote for Hitlery only because they think Bubba would actually be Pres. - YUP - WE GET THE KIND OF GUB'MINT WE DESERVE......

Hurrah! One of the reasons previous immigrant waves, as puny as they were compared to the Latino invasion, succeeded is that you cannot walk back to Poland.

We run a real border and two things happen: (1) Those Mexicans (etc) who don't really want to be here leave and cannot re-enter. (2)Those Mexicans who really want to stay here might be forced to concentrate on what being here really means, instead of keeping their border bounder hearts and money in Mexico.

Jim,
I sincerely believe that pro-life must be on that list.

Great List Jim, looks like my “Contract with America” that I wrote in 2006. I have sent it to my fav. candidates with 20 bucks (that is what I sent FR every quarter)

Pass the FairTax
lower taxes, lower spending
secure borders (80% of the people want this)
energy independance
English as the US language
need VOTER ID(overwelmingly popular)
victory against islamoterrorists
get out of UN (75% of Americans want this including some we freep against**)
protect property rights

**as for the UN thing one UN day a bunch of us met at the Texas State Capitol to burn the UN flag. There was a BIG crowd and I have never felt so uncomfortable at a freep in my life. Most of the crowd was the anti-war socialists that we freep against and now we were standing shoulder to shoulder to burn a UN flag. it was weird. The State troopers came over and said “hey you can’t burn the flag right at the foot of the capitol”. Fortunately we asked where we could burn it and he said step over about 10 steps to the right so that we weren’t on the bricks that had names LOL we happily burned and a good time was had by all. But I think this is popular plank for both sides.

The more I’ve thought about it, the more it seems that EVERY major issue deals with Security.

Secure our Border
Secure our Nation
Secure our Right to Life
Secure our Right to Protect Ourselves
Secure our Financial Stability
Secure our Right to Religion
Secure our Homelife, Families, Marriages
Secure our Jobs and Competitiveness
Secure our Energy Independence
Secure our Property

The truth is that Giuliani may be the only candidate that can't beat Hillary and he is lagging behind her in the three most recent polls.

Looking at the all-time low approval ratings of the Democratically-led congress, it's obvious that nation hungers for conservative leadership. The Republican base certainly hungers for a conservative it can enthusiastically support.

Sadly, given the pathetic group of Republican Presidential candidates, it's appearing likely a RINO will get the nomination. It's merely a matter of which RINO.
