Homofascism Makes Hardaway Pay
America Talks ^ | February 17, 2007 | David Zublick

Posted on 02/17/2007 9:10:09 AM PST by AmericaTalks

The fallout over retired basketball player Tim Hardaway's comments regarding homosexuals has been over-the-top.

Hardaway, in a radio interview, said he "hates gay people". He later apologized, but the reverberations from his remarks sparked immediate outrage by the gay community. He was labeled a bigot and a homophobe. The NBA banned him from participating in this weekend's All-Star Game festivities in Las Vegas. Commissioner David Stern said "We acted immediately, we told him he couldn't do any more work for us because his views don't represent our views.

Well, Hardaway's views may not represent the official views of the National Basketball Association, but disapproval of homosexuality does reflect the opinions of a sizeable percentage of the American population. For most of this nation, which the last time I checked was still Christian, homosexuality is not regarded as a genetically engineered condition of birth, but rather an abomination abhorred by God.

Homosexuality is a lifestyle choice, one that is sinful. To most of us, it is revolting. The acts committed in the name of this sin are sick and disgusting. But the gay advocacy groups have a loud voice in this country, and they have forced most Americans to be silent on the issue. The problem is that we are heading down a slippery slope which will eventually force us to "accept" as normal all means of behavior.

How long will it be before pedophilia is considered a lifestyle choice? Or bestiality? And how will those who disagree and are repulsed by these sins be labeled? Pedophobes? Beastophobes? And let's not forget something like polygamy. If you are against men and women having multiple spouses, should you be shunned by society or lose your job because you dare to have this view?

The political correctness that has permeated our society over the last twenty years or so has gotten completely out of hand. Free speech isn't free any more. You say something that offends someone, and you are dead meat. The last time I checked, there was no right not to be offended in the United States Constitution.

Homosexuality has become a religious movement in this country. It is somehow considered sacred and untouchable. Its leaders in this movement act like Nazis and fascists, silencing those who dare to disagree with them. Those of us who find their behaviors abnormal have become too frightened to speak out because of the repercussions we may face.

There was an episode of the Twilight Zone called "It's a Good Life". It starred Billy Mumy as a six-year-old boy who holds an entire town hostage because he has the ability to read their thoughts. And if he doesn't like what they are thinking, he punishes them by wishing them away. That is exactly what is happening with the homosexual movement. If you speak up against it, you are in effect, wished away. I'm not even sure the NBA really believes that Tim Hardaway's views do not reflect their views. But they have to say what they said. They are being held hostage buy the Nazis in the gay religion.

It's really a shame.

I defend his right to say that, yes. We have the freedom in this country to speak our minds. We don't have protection against 'hurt feelings.' He only said what he believed.

They do, of course, have the right to censor him.

Hardaway went over the line when he used the word hate, even though I doubt that he meant it in the context of "hate".

It is a sad day when the pervert is upheld, and the good guy punished.

So you don't think the man has a right to express his own opinion and feelings? get a life.

It won't be long until it is illegal to talk against things like homosexuality, global warming, abortion, and government provided health care. Home schooling will be outlawed, the age of consent will be lowered, and taxes on the wealthy will once again be way over 50%. That is where we are headed.

Though I probably would agree with some of what Hardaway said, what was good for the Ditzy Chicks, goes the same for Hardaway.

I have 2 gay friends who told me they are boycotting the NBA and the Bulls to protest Hardaway.

I simply asked them to name 1 player on the Bulls current roster and they couldn't and admitted to never having watched a game in their lives besides a few during the Jordan era.

So I said "How can you boycott something you never went to?"

Some radio idiots were saying he threatened gay people. No he said he hates them.

There is nothing wrong with hating someone. It's if you do something with that hate where the problem begins.

The sad thing is the world needs more Tim Hardaways.

Tim has the philosophy in his charitable works of the you teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime. Not the just give men fish philosophy.

I've done a few things with him here in Chicago. He's a great guy.

And we had a gay person in our group that if Tim didn't know he was gay had to be blind, stupid and deaf. And Tim treated him really nicely.

My lord . . . are you folks really defending this silly man's words?

Just his right to say them. Many people on the left consider quoting the Bible condemning homosexuality hate speech. There is just no clear point to draw the line and it is extremely hypocritical of liberals who are so outrage over this have no problems saying hateful things against Christians, George Bush or anyone who does not agree with their values.

It was a great week for the PC Nazis.

They got Illinois to get rid of Chief Illiniwek this week too.

(on that subject wouldn't it be nice to see the money and efforts used to get rid of these symbols used to actually help native americans?)

Yes. Furthermore, I agree with him. I dislike homosexuals, and don't want them around me. He has every right to speak his mind, as did John Rocker, and as do you and I. If you don't like that, well, take it up with the BoR.

Let's examine the term "homophobe", shall we?

According to Websters:
pho·bi·a [foh-bee-uh] n. a persistent, irrational fear of a specific object, activity, or situation that leads to a compelling desire to avoid it.

By this definition, in order to be a "homophobe", one would have to fearful of homos. The last thing people labeled as homophobes are is fearful of these people. We are disgusted and revulsed by this immoral, depraved and deviant lifestyle. We do not fear it. What me may perhaps fear is the deleterious effect these disgusting people and their depraved lifestyle are having on our society's mores and the liberal's promoting of this lifestyle as "normal". Perhaps we need to come up with a new term to describe us "homophobes". "

"homoloathes" comes to mind.

I wish that the reporter would conduct an interview with me. Hardaway would be elected President of the Rainbow Coalition after they hear my views on these parasites.

It's his personal opinion and feelings that he stated.

He didn't beat anyone. He didn't discriminate in hiring, firing, promoting based on his feelings even though homosexuals are NOT a protected class.

Are we at a point where one can't even have an opinion anymore that is politically incorrect?

What discrimination, what ridicule, and negative economic consequences will "HE" face that are real and tangible because he stated an opinion which hurt no one (other than their pathetic feelings)?

The homosexual agenda is about the elimination of free speech, freedom of religion and freedom of association. Homosexuality has been the battering ram to eliminate those freedoms in other nations.

I am unclear as to why you seem to deny that argument and assert our comments as a defense of what was said.

Because to me, two wrongs don't make a right.

You can't say, "Well they didn't condemn X, so I won't condemn Y". Well, you can . . . one can say anything!

I was just incredulous, that's all.
