Yikes... yes, it's a different story.
I didn't see the news last night. The story on their website was the first I heard of the new details. And they are shocking.
And who has filed the "complaint"?
Can't put my finger on it; but something is twisted, not quite right, in this story.
It will be interesting to find out the entire story. It has been an unusual case from the beginning. I agree that something is twisted and not quite right. I'm sure the police and the District Attorney have a good case against him, or they wouldn't have charged him with two counts of first degree murder. The news last night sounded like he's the one who told them.
Since there were two other people there with the girls, I don't buy their story that they only went there to use his bathroom. They were up to no good. I've thought the fact that their drinking tree was right down the road from him that there were probably other kids there too. Some kind of bet or dare was made and because they were under the influence, what seemed funny to them was met with deadly consequences. Something in my gut tells me that this is not the first time that kids from that drinking tree have gone down and bothered him in the middle of the night, only this time he snapped. He was already known to be "not right" or a little slow, and those girls never figured he would ever have a breaking point. Unfortunately, they were wrong. Dead wrong!
Dave, the picture of him on TV last night looked very much like he "wasn't right." He looked "out to lunch," if you know what I mean! That "vacant" look. The kind of look you see on Al Gore's face all the time. LOL!
After Nifong, I can no longer count on this.
Yup. That's just sickening - shooting a wounded woman in the head at point blank range.
The complaint is the brief that the DA has filed for indictment.
And police testified in that brief that Page told them he deliberately "finished her off" by shooting her in the head as she lay wounded with a gutshot.
Unless the police officer is lying about what Page told him, this is lower than low.
From Page himself, the surviving witness.
Maybe he ought to be "gut shot" first, as he did to her, then after the inevitable painful infection sets in, let him beg for someone to "finish him off" with a head shot. This is one low scumbag.
The picture doesn't make him look real nice and sweet either, does it?
So easy, even a caveman could do it?
No thanks, I've lost my appetite.
He's got "Gentle Giant" written all over that lovable mug.
Perhaps not as a general rule, or in this case.
Sometimes, however, it is arguable.
I was thinking of the execution-style killing of the second girl.
But you're right. What comes to mind is two drunk and stupid guys speeding from one strip club to another in downtown Denver, who ran a red light and killed a mom and her kids crossing the street. That's homicide in my book.
The cousin of one of the girls has posted a message on the original thread. She admitted that what they did was wrong, and unfortunately both paid with their lives. I have expressed my condolences and those of other FReepers for her loss. We will have to wait for law enforcement and the courts to establish facts and responsibility in this case.

Let's test your statement by having a couple of hoodlums break into your house in the dead of night when you're sound asleep and see how you react.
Better, let's let the poor, misunderstood, homicidal retard out of jail and put him up at your house for the rest of his life.
I read the post. He shot her in the gut and then point blank shot her in the freakin' head to "finish her off" as she lay helpless on the ground. I am well-armed at all times and would not hesitate to use deadly force when necessary. You shoot to neutralize the threat. You don't execute the person on the ground. He wasn't "sound asleep" when he did that and the women were never in his house.
Either you didn't read the story or you're not the kind of person who should have a gun.
I don't care if she broke into your house, knocked over your Faberge egg and woke you up from your favorite dream ever, no decent person would do that.
I agree.
