The Canswer from ANSWER are planning to march on the Pentagon on March 17th. They are enlisting the help of UFPJ, World Can't Wait, and other groups. Mother Moonbat Cindy Sheehan and Jane Fonda are expected to attend.

On March 17, 2007, the 4th anniversary of the start of the criminal invasion of Iraq, tens of thousands of people from around the country will descend on the Pentagon in a mass demonstration to demand: U.S. Out of Iraq Now! 2007 is the 40th anniversary of the historic 1967 anti-war march to the Pentagon during the Vietnam War. The message of the 1967 march was "From Protest to Resistance," and marked a turning point in the development of a countrywide mass movement.

In the coming days and weeks, thousands of organizations and individuals will begin mobilizing for the upcoming March on the Pentagon. Organizing committees and transportation centers are being established to bring people to the March on the Pentagon.

The March 17 demonstration will assemble at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (Constitution Gardens) at 12 noon in Washington, D.C.and march to the Pentagon.

SINCE I have read the very first THREAD Concerning the Planned Rally- Many various emotions, past memories of past "Rallies" ( good and bad ) , and soul searching has been going on personally with myself.

But TWO things HAVE Come out from all my Conclusions and that is:

1) Those who are Truely " FREEPERS " are what's REALLY called by many today " REAL Americans "! and two:

2) NOTHING can be as so Important as SUPPORTING OUR TROOPS- as Supporting our Fellow FREEPERS and Associates when the Call comes out for UNITY! STRENGTH! and SACRIFICE as well.

If our TROOPS can Give the Ultimate Sacrifice.

If The FREEPERS and other Great Americans can.- the LEAST THING Little old "I" can do before I meet my maker and even up what I owe HIM/HER is Do what little I can while here in my short life time too to MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Springfield, VA--"Don't touch the Vietnam Memorial Wall," said Tom Poulter, National Commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH), speaking to potential anti-war demonstrators who plan on gathering there on March 17^th.

"Fifty eight thousand men and boys fought and died so you could demonstrate  in peace.  To dishonor them by defacing the Wall is unthinkable," Poulter continued.

            "We respect the right to demonstrate.  We do not respect the right to defile or deface sacred places like the Vietnam Wall.  Our members, many of whom were wounded in Vietnam, are outraged that protesters would even consider gathering near the Wall.  That is hallowed ground to us who shed our blood on the soils of Vietnam."

            The MOPH commander was livid when he learned of the planned gathering near the Wall to begin an anti-war demonstration on March 17^th. 

"It would be best for those people to gather some other place.  In fact, there will be many Vietnam veterans guarding the Wall and I can assure you it will not be a peaceful situation should anti-war demonstrators try to damage or deface the memorial."

"There are those who will demonstrate who are not worthy enough to stand near the Wall, much less touch it."

            The majority of the 40,000 members of the MOPH were wounded in Vietnam.

Gotta Work?? If you are a " Family Man " I can understand.

That is my ONE pet-peeve with "Rallies"-

I DO NOT really Believe in "Counter-Rallies"- cause it goes against one of my (and "the") main points of "Winning Debates " or what's called "The War of Ideas" and that is,

"..when You are put into a position where YOU are the one to " Respond/ Counter " you are " ON THE DEFENSIVE "!!-----

---YOU should NEVER be " On the DEFENSIVE" but rather be the on the ATTACK!- THAT way YOU are in control!

That Point- and also- there are TOO MANY "Rallies" and ALL NOT "Known"-planned properly in advance as they SHOULD BE!

I am sure--if YOU, Mountain Dada, KNEW about this event MONTHS ago--you'd probly be able to get the days off! Right??

It is a Saturday- since I almost died ( for the third time in my life) I don't take ANY DAYS OFF- in fact- I would stay awake 24/7 if I could find a way just to take full advantage of LIFE--and ALL the EVENTS like this that I am CALLED FORWARD TO HELP DEFEND!

( I saw the movie with Mel Gibson " The Patriot " - It IS Happening today-and will happen- it is NOT " Fiction" but a LESSON for Real Life!; My Neighbor 4 doors down- "Poo-Pooed" Our "Rallies"!- and said he "Never had TIME/Couldn't get off that 'day'"-- his SON Died during CLINTON's WATCH and as a Direct cause from the CLINTON CUTS then ( Long story)--NOW I never hear him say " ...I am busy that day.." or " I WISH I could come.... " , funny how we have to WAIT til that "Something" "Some event" "Some cause" has to ENTER OUR PERSONAL life for US to see it's True, far-reaching importance. One day I will write a Movie script about a Yuppie who had it all: Great Job making 6 figures, great wife, house(s), car(s),with mathcing dwelling on the west coast- who lost it all in 17 seconds in a doctors office. OR about a guy who WAS "involved" in helping out with his Conservative Group when he could...until the day it was his brother in law- a great friend- who was the one to die defending HIS adopted country and family at home-and after that that man deciding he COULDN'T any further put off any opportunity to " STAND UP and BE COUNTED ".

Nothing that is worth-while in this life COMES Easy-- and maybe it shouldn't be "easy" either too- cause when things are dropped in your lap--when there is no "Sacrifice"=we maybe really truely never "appreciate" it as we should? or deserve?"

Don't worry Mountain Dad- there will be plenty more Rallies come the 08' election cycle I am sure that will give you plenty more time to properly plan to attend.
