There's no need to be crushed, and no need to throw in the towel.

What needs to be done is to figure out the best way to play the cards we've been handed.

Maybe what conservatives need to work on is getting a conservative on the ticket, even if not at the head of the ticket.

That way, there will be an incumbent with name recognition in place for the next go around.

Despair leads no where.

"Tancredo carry CO = I have no idea"

Tom may carry Colorado and its 9 electoral votes, but he lost Florida's 27 votes with his "third world nation" crack.

Yes, Father Luis. But I'm soooo crushed. Ohhh...

Doom, despair and agony on me.
Deep dark depression and excessive misery,
If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.
Doom, depair and agony on me.

Yes but would Rudy accept Jeb as VP? If so, why?

there are many third world nation cities in this country. NY, Los "Angeles, Chicago. Miami,

Most large cities with large illegal alien population are third world in fact.

I have had numerous friends comment to me about the vast demographic change that has come about in Los Angeles. It is a third world city.

who says Rudy couldn't carry NY? Take a look at the senate voting pattern for NYS in 2000 (when Hillary had a actual opponent). The areas that put Hillary over the top, the NYC boroughs, are the same areas that elected Rudy mayor twice. Rudy would take Queens and Staten Island, and would run closer to Hillary then any other republican would in the Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn.

we do have alot of good conservatives, but why aren't they out there. where have they been all these years, why weren't they out there like Reagan was - Reagan spent years and years developing a message; the arguments, the thoughts, the ability to deliver it and persuade people. If you have a chance, listen to some of his older speeches.

From what I see, conservative politicos have simply been - lazy. its like a baseball game, where the team needs a player to get a key hit, they look down the bench and see all the stars are 20 pounds overweight and out of shape, and haven't taken batting practice for 2 months.

I am tired of seeing the same crap crawling out every couple of years. First it was the Buchananites then they went underground and were resurrected as other critics of the President and the GOP. They will not be convinced and will always work against the GOP. I don't really care if they are insulted.

That's 85% of this forum you're talking about. Maybe you and the girl power crew would be better off on another site.

Rudy's polling at 40% in New York right now. Exactly what Bush drew there in 2004.

This is his home state. These are the people who know him best. And he's not polling any better than GWB did, against an Illinois carpet-bagger. He's not winning New York.

that's the quinnipiac number. and the very idea that Rudy is drawing the same % as Bush did in NY, where the largest pool of Dem voters comes from the city that elected Rudy mayor twice - just doesn't line up.
