Horner then made an interesting historical climate observation that has conveniently eluded all the global warming alarmists and their devotees:
Obviously, theyre the ones overreacting because its very simple. We admit climate change, and thats what they deny. Climate changes it always has, it always will. The Vikings used to farm Greenland, and if we get two degrees Celsius warmer they may again.
Next, Horner went after Al Gore:
[G]laciers are melting all over the world. Glaciers are growing all over the world. The problem is
and also glaciers are receding by growing which is in Al Gores movie. When they grow too far grow is the key word -- they break off. That's not melting he shows, that's called calving. But what happens is they say melting glaciers is proof of global warming. By that logic, for lack of a better word, receding glaciers is proof of global cooling. They can't both be true and in fact neither are.

Who is Christopher Horner? Is he someone who knows anything about climate science or just a tv entertainer?
I saw this guy the other morning on Fox & Friends. I thought he was very good. Good enough that I bought his book.
Christopher Homer is the guy who used to own the book until he sold it to puppage.

I read Michael Crichton's "State of Fear" and it seemed to be well researched and just devestating to the man made global warming arguments. Has anyone tried to refute this book or is the media and scientific community just ignoring it?
Isn't GW still a theory?

A brief intro provided in story/linked above. ..
(Bummer; had 'Fox' on; but missed this segment. . .)
For those unfamiliar, Christopher Horner is undoubtedly a rising star on the conservative political landscape. A Senior Fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, and the author of the new book The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming and Environmentalism, he was a guest of the Fox & Friends crew Tuesday.
Given the subject matter, Horner had a lot of fun slamming Al Gore, Ellen Goodman, and the global warmingists (video available here). Goodman was Horners first target:
[. . .]
He's a great guy, was on tv some during the monica thing. Very smart. Some research place? and a book on global warming i think? He's someone i would love to meet. i saw him over the weekend on some show. he said gore had to use a fake bear to drown in his movie cause real polar bears can swim, and the only 2 places decreasing in population were the very coldest places.
The earth is millions of years old. We have compiled weather data for the last 100 years. That's a pretty small sample to extrapolate from.
I think Warm-mongers is a better term!
One-world socialist governance cannot be achieved until America is brought down to the economic level of European countries and the American people demand more and more hand-outs and government-granted freebies to replace what they've lost through socialism.
"Global warming" is simply the latest salvo in the war to destroy America's free-market economy and bring the people into an acceptance of socialist slavery.
I'd like to slam Al Gore and his global warming hysteria...as I look out the window and see everything encased in three inches of ice.
Crichton wrote in his foreword that he actually had set out to write a "global warming" novel, but as he researched the issue he discovered on his own that it was all a crock, thus turning the story around to what it is now - an indictment of organizations and governments that rely on maintaining a "state of fear" over some impending catastrophe to control populations.
