. . . and, without mentioning President Bush by name, offered pointed criticism on how the Iraq war has been handled . . . He said that the United States went to war with far too few forces and was wrong to dismantle Saddam Husseins military and government, and he conceded that if more information had been available about Iraqs weapons, Congress never would have approved the war.

Agreed.
Tick... tick... tick...
Just waiting for all the Rudy-bots to show up so they can tell us why we need to vote for Rudy so he'll continue the WoT....
Oh my goodness. Don't accept the NYT explanation of things.
I listened to the interview; I'm sure a transcript is around somewhere.
Rudy said what the president himself has said, that mistakes were made. He didn't condemn the president and said it was still the right decision to take Saddam out.
He also said that it's easy in hindsight to see what should have been done differently and when Larry asked him what, Rudy mentioned a few things. That's perfectly appropriate and if anyone thinks that Hunter or any other candidate is going to say that no mistakes were made in Iraq, they're deluding themselves.
On The History Channel there is a weekly show called Military Blunders In History. A lot of the shows deal with mistakes made in WWII by the US and our allies. Every war has problems and mistakes made by those in charge.
Yep. ...related.

I do! I believe everything they say...because they are sooo much smarter than I am (ok we'll set the bar a bit higher than the flatworm level :-) )
Seriously so many people scream and yell about the bias at the NY Times...then (apparently) buy what they're saying about Rudy. I for one would like to see the transcript of the interview.
Just because someone critizes the way Iraq was/is being done does NOT mean they think we shouldn't be there.
Exactly. I listened to the interview carefully and thought Rudy handled himself well. If he had denied that there were problems with how the war was handled I'd have questioned his judgment righ then and there.
The president and others in the administration have admitted that they didn't make the correct decision 100% of the time but they went with what they thought was best given the situation and information they had available.
Yep. If we don't support the socialist, we're all gonna die. They told me.

Meanwhile, another 4000 American babies were mutilated and sucked from their mother's wombs today...
Of COURSE mistakes were made. Everyone admits that. Bush, McCain, Kristol, everyone. There should've been more troops a long time ago.
Thinking that this will chill the Rudy juggernaut is just insane. Rudy's support is both wide AND deep. Soon, his nomination will be inevitable. And then he takes out the Hildebeast.
And then...
Wow! 1st the NY Times and now CNN. What next Pravda?
Yes but the Rudyphobes must get their nightly fix of bashing and caterwalling. End times will be near accoriding to these folks if the G-man becomes president.
Let's be realistic Duncan is a donut not a president. Mitt will need a miracle. McCain is deranged and do we really want the democrats to win? Keep an open mind fellow freepers.
LOL. Rudy has taken on the mob, Arafat, Castro, and Sharpton. He isn't afraid of Hillary, her FBI files, her War Room, her skills at personal destruction of her opponents, or anyone or anything. Rudy's pretty fearless.
Guess that's why he gave her a pass in '06, eh?
LOL. Who wants to take bets on when the first website goes up that "proves" Rudy is the Beast of the Apocalypse?
