Majority of Poles against U.S. anti-missile system: high official

MOSCOW (Xinhua) -- The majority of the Polish population opposes the U.S. plans to deploy anti-ballistic missile(ABM) systems in Poland, visiting Polish Deputy Prime Minister Andrzei Lepper said.

Also as a leader of the Poland's Self-Defense Party, Lepper said the party initiates the creation of a public movement, to be called "Stop Shield", which would aim at holding a referendum on the deployment of ABM systems in Poland, Russian news agencies reported.

Lepper said some 70 percent of the population of Poland opposes the deployment of ABM systems on its territory when meeting with Deputy Chairman of Russia's upper house of parliament Alexander Torshin.

Imports of Polish agricultural products to Russia were also discussed, he said. Lepper proposed setting up a bilateral working group of agricultural deputy ministers to overcome the differences in the field.

"This issue would be solved more efficiently and promptly without participation of third parties," Torshin said.

One would think the Poles would be all over themselves for such a system on their soil. Given their relationship with Putin's Russia...et al.

How did you say that on the other thread, vox?

Something like Anyway, it's better to have a useful insignificant idiot of Samoobrona in the govt than intelligent anti-Pollish pro-Kremlin(LSD) and pro-Berlin(CP)puppets., right?

Do you remember guys, what a mess PiS did, when Tusk tried to negotiate with the CDU positions in the European Parliament?

They considered it almost as a case of a high treason.

I wonder how PiS and Kaczynskis are going to react now to these statements made by Lepper in Moscow.

"visiting Polish Deputy Prime Minister Andrzei Lepper"

Hey, bozo Lepper, you might think about why Iran, Russia, and China are so eager to keep Poland and Europe defenceless...... or would that train of thought be too challenging for youi?

You're absolutely correct. Isn't that funny and sad in a way?

Well, according to the Tehran Times, the Holocaust is questionable as well.

Yep these countries do not want to see other powers able to defend themselves so they can assert their will when the time is right. This is the reason said countries hate the US because they know they can not bully us and we can annihilate everyone of them in under 30 mins. Only a fool would not want stronger defenses and democratic alliances for their homeland.

Add this to your list of the ridiculous:

Do you really think it's pure coincidence that Schroeder personally ensured that the gas pipeline deal goes through while he was still chancellor of Germany? Do you think it's mere coincidence that this was all dealt with behind closed doors, that only when the deal was done, after the fact, the Germans themselves were informed of it. Today Schroeder is on Gazproms payroll. Gazprom is a Russian state owned entity. The Russians have leveraged gas politically against the Republic of Georgia, Ukraine, and others, yet Germany is making itself dependent on Russian gas. He transitioned into his new job as soon as he left the office of the Chancellery.

How much sense does that make to you?
