The second most powerful member of the Texas House has circulated a Georgia lawmaker's call for a broad assault on teaching of evolution.
House Appropriations Committee Chairman Warren Chisum, R-Pampa, used House operations Tuesday to deliver a memo from Georgia state Rep. Ben Bridges.
The memo assails what it calls "the evolution monopoly in the schools."
Mr. Bridges' memo claims that teaching evolution amounts to indoctrinating students in an ancient Jewish sect's beliefs.
"Indisputable evidence long hidden but now available to everyone demonstrates conclusively that so-called 'secular evolution science' is the Big Bang, 15-billion-year, alternate 'creation scenario' of the Pharisee Religion," writes Mr. Bridges, a Republican from Cleveland, Ga. He has argued against teaching of evolution in Georgia schools for several years....

What the heck is going on in people's minds. If I sit back and think...I can see what the Muslims are scared off. Their entire world-view is being destroyed in front of their eyes. Their only response is jihad. Will our citizens too, when they see their world-view crumbling, resort to violence?

the study of Kabalah is a key aspect of Orthodox Judaism as well.As you know, Note post 30 from the Protocols. If you wander around the website the Republican legislator relies on you'll note the typical conspiracy stuff.

What, did the Stormfront.org server crash or something and you had to come over here? It's worth noting the source of the Republican legislators conspiracy theory. Had Carl Sagan and Einstein been prominent at the time, they would have been included too.
BTW, Stormfronters know all about this. It's a well known conspiracy. Kluckers too. I'm just sorry seeing Republican's expounding it.
And it's entirely possible the legislator hasn't a clue as to what he's talking about.

I believe he's reading from the non-canonical Book of Evolution, or is it from the Koran? No, he's simply reading conspiracy and/or hate sites and believes what he reads.

I'm certain he's an idiot.

It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you're a fool than to open your mouth and prove it.

If evolution is a Jewish plot, he's got some explaining to do relative to Genesis.

It is pathetically transparent stuff.
Look for the Sobran/Rockwell/Roberts/Buchanan crowd to start naming this guy as a potential GOP candidate in '08.
To: steve-b
Creationists are not ready for prime time. Send this guy back to whatever hole he climbed out of.

What's funny is the irony of this being posted while there's a live thread going on "Why So Few Jews Vote for Republicans"...

If evolution is a Jewish plot, he's got some explaining to do relative to Genesis. LOL! Especially since Kabalah, at its root, is nothing other than a devout interpretation of Genesis 1 and Ezekiel 1.

I'm still trying to figure out exactly when "creationism" became a conservative issue, much less a Republican one. When all those Southern Democrats came over after Nixon's "Southern Strategy."

The main reason why so many Jews vote Democrat against their best interests is the same reason why so many Irish and Italians do - a misplaced loyalty to the party of their immigrant grandparents.
Lunatic fringers who get on to the GOP ticket - like Bridges, Duke and Findley - are a non-factor in my opinion.

You do realize the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" is a Czarist forgery, right?
