Bush Aides Like What They See In Guiliani

While the White House is taking a hands-off approach to the 2008 GOP presidential primaries so far, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is quietly seeing an administration cheerleading section grow.

One insider said that it is built on the fact that Giuliani continues to beat Sen. John McCain in the polls and also because he is offering to stick with several Bush programs, including an aggressive stance against terrorists, and promises to name conservative judges to the court. One Bush official today noted Giuliani's pledge to nominate conservative judges and applauded the New Yorker for making that claim in liberal California.

"He didn't back away just because he was in California. In fact, he went there to make that statement. That's a very important signal," said the insider. Interestingly, even White House conservatives are showing support for Giuliani.

"He's the front-runner, and he's doing everything so far very good," said another official. "He isn't bending to what people want to hear. He kind of sounds like Bush did in 2000."

Jimmy Breslin is well-known moonbat in New York.

So what!!? Do you know the source of the documents that are being posted (that had one quote from Breslin)? They came from the Giuliani for New York 1993 campaign and they outline all of the vulnerabilities he had and the outright spin and lies they were going to tell to cover and whitewash those vulnerabilities. Damning stuff.

Stick to posting color charts, you're getting nowhere fast.

I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm just pointing out that Breslin is a nutjob because many people here are unfamiliar with him. If Giuliani did anything controversial to get his deferment, David Dinkins and the New York Times would have shouted it out from the rooftops in 1993.

"To stay home and allow a Democrat to take the White House because of social issues is unconscionable"

Especially if Giuliani picks a pro-life running mate.

I don't see the MSM cheering for Rudy. It's early. When the primaries begin and IF he's the front runner by then, I think the MSM beat up on him like they beat up on Bush in 2000. I may not support Rudy in the primaries, but I will support whoever the nominee is and I hope that those who didn't support Rudy will be gracious losers like Ronald Reagan was in 1976.

"To stay home and allow a Democrat to take the White House because of social issues is unconscionable, in my opinion. That's why I defend Rudy so hard. If you want to beat him, if he's so wrong for the party, beat him in the primaries. But if he's nominated, you cannot just stay home. "

What's all this horse crap about staying home? Youy leftist agit-prop gun-grabbing homosexual activists haven't got a clue.

You have yet to point to a post of mine that would suggest I am a leftist. Reason being, I'm not, and you're a lonely bitter man with nothing better to do than intice riot on FR, so that you feel better about having miniscule manhood.

You seem to be following the troll playbook well.

Attack and insult to try to start a flame war...never make an intelligent response to anything posted back to you and than finally run away.

Pretty boring stuff.

"I promise to vote for whomever comes out of the convention as the Republican candidate - even the despised McCain, who has done about ten times LESS for the party than Rudy in the last few years."

Sad to say, some of these so called "conservatives" will not do as you will.

When the time comes and they stay home or vote for some loony third party candidate, they are no better than the left wing America haters that we all despise.

Thats not a smear bunky.

From Wikipedia:

Early life

Giuliani was born in Brooklyn, New York to working class parents Harold Angel Giuliani and Helen C. D'Avanzo, both themselves children of Italian immigrants. It was a Roman Catholic family whose extended members included police officers, firefighters, and criminals.[6] Indeed Harold Giuliani himself had trouble holding a job, had been convicted of robbery and served time in Sing Sing, and was reputed to be a collector for loan sharks.[7] [8]

DONT TELL ME WHAT TO DO PAL.....

I am NY City born and bred of Italian extraction. I am Conservative.....If there was a viable conservative party, I would join that....but liberal republicans like Rudy and You have ruined the party....so I should tell you to use the door, but you can do what you like.....

"I am NY City born and bred of Italian extraction. I am Conservative"

Me, too. Must account for our respective attitudes.

But c'mon, really. What does his father have to do with this? That just sounded like gratuitous bashing. And how on earth can you cite Wikipedia, for goodness' sake?

Look, maybe I'm misunderstanding all the Rudy bashers, but I get the distinct impression that it's "my way or the highway" for many of them. And the highway is Hillary Clinton.

I don't care if you fight Rudy tooth and nail during the primaries - but if he's the nominee you've gotta vote for him, right?

Well you have to realize that alot of Rudy people have told me they are afraid to post on these threads because they are so volatile.

They're scared to post anonymous comments on an internet forum? They must be pretty timid folks...

If you dont think that the Clintonistas wont bring up the facts....if not by themselves, then by their minions then you have another thing coming....(
The republicans need to be as ruthless as the Democrats...but they wont be...which is why they lost the house and senate...)

.....I would have to say any republican needs to be clean as the driven snow around that bun....and as much as I like Rudy and love what he did for NYC...his liberal tendencies, are not acceptable to me to vote for him for POTUS in the primaries....I would probably hold my nose and vote for him in the general elections..but I am not sure of that yet either....
