Rudd moves to censure Howard over Obama attack Steve Lewis, Chief political correspondent February 12, 2007
OPPOSITION Leader Kevin Rudd today moved a censure motion against Prime Minister John Howard over his attack on US presidential hopeful Barack Obama. Mr Rudd said Mr Howard should be censured over his comment yesterday that terrorist network al-Qaeda would be hoping for a Democratic candidate to win next year's US presidential election.

LOL...post #15...has the exact quote..I missed a little of it.
Duncan Hunter said Howard had the right to criticize Obama.
The Aussies have a serious concern about all the militant muslims next door in Indonesia. I'm sure Howard is aware that Obama attended school there...
If I recall correctly, didn't Kerry's daughter go to Australia before their election to speak out against Howard?
Australia has been a stalwart ally of ours, Mr. Howard can comment on something that affects his country as well as ours.
I was on the Sunday Talk show thread today when Cornyn said that...and even though he is my Senator..and I like him...I was NOT happy at what he said.
I think that Howard has every right to worry about who is POTUS...since their national security could be more in danger if we have a POTUS that chooses NOT to fight a war to win.
His sister, not his daughter, but, yes, she did.
What about the truth?
a quick perousal of articles out there and that's about all I have seen from a Republican,
Cornyn for Sec'y of State. ;-) I don't think what he said is too strong, jmo.
I agree.
and keep an eye out for Gore. watch him jump into the race, with his Oscar and Nobel Prize.
I just hate that he gave the Dems and the MSM a Republican name to add to their rhetoric.
They already have too many Republicans in the Senate doing their bidding on the resolution against Bush's plan for Iraq..
I think it's flattering that one of George Bush's allies on the other side of the world started attacking me the day after I announced (my candidacy), Senator Obama said.
I would also note that we have close to 140,000 troops in Iraq and my understanding is Mr Howard has deployed 1400.
So if he is ... to fight the good fight in Iraq, I would suggest that he calls up another 20,000 Australians and sends them to Iraq, otherwise it's just a bunch of empty rhetoric.
So Obama is for 20,000 more troops? From this I guess Obama if for the surge?
Maybe Howard has some "intelligence" regarding Obama. It would be interesting to know.
I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Those resolutions are going nowhere. Let 'em squabble.
Our lazy Republicans should be out backing Howard!
Wow, that it disappointing coming from Cornyn. I thought he was one of the few in the royal legislature still on our side.
He could have just kept his mouth shut.
Go ahead and try it, Kevin. You're going to make a complete idiot out of yourself.
Obama is a little chicken sh!+ loud mouth... full of rage... rage Obama rage...
If you spell Obama backwards you get A MA BO ... or a mama's boy
lol. its all a political game, by engaging howard Obama proves he hasnt the experience to lead a superpower.
sit back and watch the fun :P

Reid Moves To Censure Obama Over Attack.
Really, that's about all he can do. Under Howard, Australia has grown and prospered as it hasn't for decades. They're at their lowest rate of unemployment in thirty years, and the longest running streak under 6% unemployment in a generation.
John Howard and his government has done wonders for Australia. Those who attack him are ankle biting do-nothings.
Hey, Rudd -- I'm sure that Al Qaeda would be rooting for you, too, if they even knew who you are. But maybe your are too insignificant a socialist weasel for Al Qaeda to know your name (though they sure do love what you stand for).
