Rudd moves to censure Howard over Obama attack Steve Lewis, Chief political correspondent February 12, 2007
OPPOSITION Leader Kevin Rudd today moved a censure motion against Prime Minister John Howard over his attack on US presidential hopeful Barack Obama. Mr Rudd said Mr Howard should be censured over his comment yesterday that terrorist network al-Qaeda would be hoping for a Democratic candidate to win next year's US presidential election.

Obama is a nobody, Rudd. Don't bother.
What about his free speech?
a snippet from the article,, I'm curious who the Republican figures are.

Mr Howard's comments have provoked a trans-Pacific firestorm with a number of Democrats - and even some Republican figures - criticising the Prime Minister.
So, sit in the back of the Bus and shut up.
Are we "Politicking" Rudd?
You got it!
Oh..now this is getting ridiculous...
Sheesh! I guess the "other party" in Australia is as ready to leap to bash Howard as the Dems are to bash Bush.
Leftists all over the world stick together.
Well, now we know what they will be talking about on talk radio tomorrow! Sen Obabamba is way over his head trying to take on Howard. Imagine what Rudy or Newt Or Mitt is going to do to this fool in a debate?
John Cornyn was asked about Howard's remark on CNN today...the first thing that Cornyn said was that Howard needs to leave America's politics to us...but, then went on to say that Howard DID have a point about how the DEMS constant calls for troop withdrawals from Iraq...was wrong.
So...that is the only Rep. I know about.
It's nice to have someone I actually respect and can defend smacking the liberals about unrepetantly who's in high elective office. Unfortunately I had to outsource to find that someone. ;-)

Even Republicans have criticised Mr Howard for interfering in US domestic affairs.
"I would prefer that Mr Howard stay out of our domestic politics and we will stay out of his domestic politics," Texas Republican senator John Cornyn said.
However, Republican presidential candidate Duncan Hunter has defended Mr Howard.
"I think the Aussies have earned a right to comment on the world stage about their partner in this endeavour because they've been fighting side-by-side with us in Iraq," Congressman Hunter said.

That sounds like a pretty benign statement, imo, not too gruff per se.
I'll snoop around a bit.. Thanks!
FoxNews Poll of Democrats Jan 30-31
Hillary 43 percent
Obama 15 percent
Edwards 12 percent

Keep your powder dry for the real enemy- it will help us if Obama can make Hillary spend a lot in the primaries. She is going to be the Democratic nominee.
Obama may be a threat in 2012 if he gains the trust of more Americans, but right now he's just an exotic oddity with no chance to win.
"I would prefer that Mr Howard stay out of our domestic politics and we will stay out of his domestic politics,'' Texas Republican senator John Cornyn said.
the use of the word 'prefer' is pretty tame,
I'm curious about Hagel and that crowd. I'll do a bit of digging too, thanks!
Leave it to the dems and the MSM to stop at nothing to create a hoopla out of nada.
Yet another reason I'm supporting hunter for President and NOT supporting senate Republicans. BTW, maybe Cornyn needs to be reminded kerry and his friends started it and just be quiet while Howard gives him and the others a lesson in how ones neuters a lib. He's done it so effetively in Australia, they ought to ask him for teachings.
