Giuliani's Social Views Not Well Known
The Gallup Poll ^ | February 7, 2007

Posted on 02/11/2007 2:52:28 PM PST by don-o

PRINCETON, NJ -- As former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani inches closer to a formal declaration of his candidacy for the 2008 Republican nomination for president, the challenge he faces among Republicans with his support of abortion rights and same-sex civil unions is clear in a recent USA Today/Gallup Poll.

Giuliani is extraordinarily well-liked and respected by the American public. He also ties with or leads Arizona Sen. John McCain as the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination in recent Gallup polls. At the same time, his views on abortion and same-sex civil unions are unknown to most rank and file Republicans. Once informed of Giuliani's positions, a sizable minority of Republicans say they would reconsider their support for the otherwise popular and well-respected Republican luminary.

Well, I am glad you are on top of things for who you may or may not want on the Republican ticket. I am not that far along in the game and I cannot multitask to the point where I am working on federal law.

There are enough issues in my own state that need to be addressed as these laws (or lack of same) affect my personal life. Even when there are laws, there are judges that have their heads up their rears and that is at the city and county level. We have a moron for a sheriff and a potential same sex marriage governess that takes credit for a medical school being built downtown that was in the works when she was the AG and allowing pedophiles to return to medicine.

Well, aren't you the pleasant and friendly one.

If I wanted to vote like that, I would register as a democrat, stick my head in the sand and then vote for my candidate no matter how my candidate might or might not represent me.

The fact tha tpeople are making up their minds so far before the primaries when there isn't even a solid choice for sure and bickering and swaying one another when we are nowhere near the bridge to cross is just a tad hasty.

How can someone decide who to vote for or not vote for when all hats are not officially in the ring is beyond me.

Who are these poeple deciding on instead? Why? Why were they thinking of voting for Rudy in the first place? Who asked the questions? Is there a liberal slant to the polls or the writing of the mind changing? Why aren't we waiting until all ballots are printed and then discuss the pros and cons of everyone that is running for sure? Why are we wasting our time on the what ifs? And why are we fighting amongst ourselves so early in the game? It is bad enough when there is mud slinging, but now we are at a point where we are pre-mud slinging mud slinging. Do you have any idea how DISORGANIZED that looks to John Q. Public?

I say we let all candidates weigh in first and then start analyzing and assessing them on our terms.

This entire thread shows that there are a few that will fall into the mud slinging trap of the liberal media.

People are always actively trying to kill us. Anytime it seems like they're not, it means we're not paying attention.

It took me about the same amount of time after I was told about it -- couldn't find it at first. I think you are right someone did a good job of trying to keep it hidden.

Funny thing about all of this, I found this before he ever announced along with some other things. Shocked me when he announced. I still haven't figured it out either.

Hi Kate;

Many on FR have gone many miles with the current candidates, we know them.. If you do not.. well then you need to get informed.. Not everyone is a naif..

Socialism is Slavery by Government always in every place consistently.. To be a democrat or a liberal makes you a socialist.. And not a few so-called conservatives are also socialists.. They only fool the naifs.. Politics is not a place to be nice.. its a place where brother separates against brother, father against son, mother against daughter..

You know ,as Jesus said would happen.. Politics is extremely spiritual.. You're spirit determines your vote.. or even IF YOU VOTE.. which most do not..

Right now we need a leader with balls ..I see no others out there . Don't doubt for a second that Islam has grand designs on destroying America. All other issues will have to be secondary to protecting the US. 9/11 was just the opening act.If we get nuked gay marriage wont be all that important , will it? He gets my vote as well . He's a genuine tough guy with courage and a deep haterd for our enemies .

the POTUS has nothing do with gay marrage or anything anyhow.
Also, his choices on judges will be VERY similar to what George W. Bush's have been, so... whats the problem?

If you've discovered bonafide corruption, why would you not announce it to high heaven?

All I know is what I learned from my parents and that was what the character and moral fiber of Ronald Reagan and the Bush men happened to be. Beyond that, I have just done my job and kept quiet. It's a long story...

So now what...

If I find it absolutely necessary I will, but until that time arises I have no intention of making it easy for the RATs or giving them any more ammunition against the Republicans than I have too.

I'm not the only one that has the information, several others here have it also.

IIRC, Hillary tried to use the excuse she was running for office when Peter Paul filed one of his lawsuits against her to try and get out or to stall any action against her.

I would put a "little" more credence in God's words than FDR.

Oh, do share.
We'd all like to know what dirt you're saving on Hunter for "that time."

I found on some moonbat blogs that Hunter had received contributions from some of the same companies that Cunningham took bribes from. Our very own Freeper "investigators" say there is a 22 page pdf of a DOJ document of some sort.

But, they are not going to link it.

How strange.

How strange.

Hmmm...indeed.
Hunter himself would welcome it. He has nothing to hide.
