People are always actively trying to kill us. Anytime it seems like they're not, it means we're not paying attention.
Okay, I see that logic and reason are beyond you and that you will answer in vagueries and platitudes rather than thought and reason. If you can't grasp the difference between the guy down the block thinking evil thoughts about you and the guy around the corner who tries to break into your house every night because he'll kill you if he succeeds in breaking in, then there is little point in continuing the conversation.
