Wolf quoting an editorial written by a Gen. Wm. Odem.. saying that "a win in Iraq is not an option".
Cornyn says that someone like Odem may need to present an alternative if he wants to write something like that while we are a war.
BTW...this new phrase "we don't need a military surge, we need a diplomatic surge"...has been said by every DEM I have heard today....Blech
Yes, Senator Gregg's speech should be all over the Sunday Morning Talk Shows. I thing Senator Gregg should be one of the Senators the Republican Party pushes on to the Sunday Shows. Hagel should be forced to tow the Party line or not allowed to go on TV without switching parties (yeah I know the Senate numbers, bust I cannot stand Hagel)
Someone needs to towel Blitzer off. It must be very humid in there with Weydon spraying him every time he says a word with an "S" in it.
He is a great spokesman, very intellectually agile, very smart. I would love to see more of him.

Wolf asking Cornyn about what Putin said yesterday about the USA being the biggest threat in the world.
Cornyn said he is the pot calling the kettle black.
Wyden says he disagrees with what Putin is saying, but he says it is because of what we are doing in ME...
BTW...I LOVE what John Howard said about Osama Obama..about OBL praying for an Obama win.
OOOPSY...Cornyn said that he wishes Howard would stay out of our politics...and we will stay out of theirs.
Wyden says it is a bizarre remark...and Obama is great...but we need more diplomacy.

As I heard Howie he was lamenting the "twisting" of facts and the concentration on "minor discrepancies" in Timmah's testimony and previous statements as a way to attack journalists in general.
Sounds like a whitewash to me. I'm going to get the podcast and, if I can find it, a transcript. I'll then scour the live blogs for comparisons to the actual testimony and affidavits in question an construct a missive for Howie... along with every other media source I can think of.
He runs a show that purports to review and critique the news media. Who watches the watcher?
Maybe, but too much seems agenda driven.
The budget, borders, jailing border patrol agents who shoot drug dealers,(or are at least accused of shooting fleeing drug dealers) it goes on and on, and much is inexplainable.
A new Pubbie adm. will truly have it's work cut out for it.
But no matter how much we screw up the alternative is unthinkable.
