Smith's Lawyer: 'DNA Check not necessarily conclusive...'
Fox News

The bizzare saga of Anna Nicole Smith just got stranger. Two of Smith's lawyers are on TV now answering press questions. Birkhead's request for an emergency DNA test of the baby has been denied. When one of Smith's lawyers was asked about the ruling, he said that 'DNA is not necessarily conclusive,' which is news to me. Both Birkhead and Smith contend that they are the baby's father, and the two most likely executors of a fortune worth $1.6 billion.
The judge ruled he cannot rule on any emergency petition because he believes the case is under Bahamian jurisdiction.
One of Smith's attorneys then got even wierder by saying that 'there as some allegations that the baby's hair has been dyed,' suggesting an attempt to alter its appearance re. paternity.
This case looks like the Tabloid Full Employment Act of 2007. I feel bad for the baby.

>>>I saw Stern's lawyer on FOX, last night. What he means about DNA not necessarily being conclusive is that the biological father is not necessarily the legal father. Evidently, in the Bahamas, the name on the birth certificate takes precedence over the biology.>>>
Wonder how long it took him to research that little tidbit of fact???? About 20 seconds before they moved there!?!

Fox was just reporting that AP was saying some other old man related to ZSA ZSA Gabor now says he is the father. I think it has to be a joke.... but hey, who knows?

It's Zsa Zsa's husband who is now claiming that he is the father of Anna's baby.

That baby needs a U.S. court appointed lawyer right away. With an estate that big in the balance, I'm surprised the court hasn't already appointed a guardian ad litem.

Between this and the looney astronaut, Greta will beat this stuff to a pulp for the next year. This will push Greta to get her own cable channel and mainline amphetamines to stay on the air 'round the clock.

Obviously, I don't know Stern, but he always struck me as a decent guy who really cared about her. Maybe not.
Pierce Marshall, whom I did know fairly well on a social/business level (Pierce is the son of the rich guy she married), pretty much had your opinion.

I don't think ol' J. Howard was able to rise to the occasion at that point in his life.

Typical attorney thinking. When the facts are against you, argue the law. When the law is against, you argue the facts. When both the facts and the law are against you, just argue.

I thought exactly the same thing when I saw the baby on Entertainment Tonight: the baby already looks like Birkhead. But I figured fellow freepers would think I was imagining it!

You never know. Maybe J. Howard knew Bob.

My point is that it'll probably be evident soon, just by eyeballing the baby, which guy is the more likely father.I do hope you are making a joke! LOL

I hope neither of these guys get the money. I hope the money goes back to the family of the 92 year old that married her. It would be nice if that family actually took the little one in as their own.

That baby needs a U.S. court appointed lawyer right away. The baby has until she is twenty-one to declare as a united states citizen. That is why the judge deferred to the other court and why she went down there to have the baby anyway.

Oh , OK, I had no idea that in the Bahama's you can have US citizenship when born there. I thought you had to be born on US soil for that privilege.

I think the baby probably technically holds dual citizenship.

I've heard at least half a dozen reporters refer to him as the lawyer and father of the baby.
