Rudy Giuliani will prevent a conservative crack-up.
Today, after very little effort, Giuliani is the frontrunner for the Republican nomination. Dick Morris is predicting a Giuliani vs. Clinton race in 2008. Yet some conservatives are dubious of the man who cleaned up New York, returned it to a vigor unimaginable from the 1960s through the 1980s, and then led New York and the country heroically through 9/11. Well, one knows a politician by the company he keeps, and Giuliani has around him the financial people who created the libertarian-conservative Manhattan Institute. He relied heavily on the Institute's policies while governing New York. He will rely on libertarian-conservative policy makers in his race for the White House and once there.

Also this morning, U.S. Congresswoman Candice Miller (R-MI) endorsed Rudy Giuliani for president. Having been on the 2004 campaign, I can tell you that Candice Miller is a rock star who played a key role in Michigan for Bush-Cheney, mobilizing one of the largest grassroots volunteer forces anywhere in the country. The full release is on the campaign web site:

Sorry, Rudy's just not conservative enough for me. He would have made a good Senator from NY, too bad he didn't run against Billary there.
To: PhiKapMom
You can feel the raw conservative fear of Hillary in these early endorsements. Giuliani is a prime Anyone But Clinton candidate, conservatives are going to coalesce around an ABC candidate unusually early this time around.

Sign me up, please.
My nephew used to work for Media Research Center. Their information had Rudy polling very well in the Bible Belt. It was all about leadership. I know the whole loafers will be disappointed to hear this. Hate that.

We had a popular Conservative as POTUSA.
Next was a one term moderate.
Next was a two term traitor, who some people think was conservative.
Next was a two term moderate that squeaked by because the democrats nominees were very bad.
Now some people want a far left winger as the Republican nominee that most real democrats can beat because they can run to the right of him.

I guess that makes him Ready-Rudy?

I can see it now, Rudy will be the republican nominee and some conervative will run as an independent and hand the White House keys to Hillary.

I can see it now, Rudy will be the republican nominee and some conervative will run as an independent and hand the White House keys to Hillary. Not only that, but Rudy won't be able to draw many Reagan Democrats. That's what happens when the nominee is at the far left fringe of the party. He can't hold the party together and won't draw conservative Dems. And if you think he can draw enough liberal independents and Dems running as a pro-war candidate, you've got another thing coming.
The GOP needs to nominate someone center-right, not a Rockefeller sheep in wolf's clothing.
