On Feb. 11, 1998, Hillary Clinton told reporters that the Internet needed an "editing" or "gatekeeping" function. The World Wide Web was out of control, she said. It needed to be reined in. Five years later, Hillary's dream is on the verge of being realized.

The McCain-Feingold Act of 2002 empowers federal judges and Federal Election Commissioners to determine who is allowed to say what about political candidates in all electronic media. On Sept. 18, 2004, U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly ordered the FEC to extend its enforcement of McCain-Feingold to the Internet.

In the face of a massive outcry from bloggers, the FEC backed down from fully implementing Judge Kollar-Kotelly's order. However, the order stands. Sooner or later, it will be enforced.

Proposals are already on the table to require bloggers to register with the government and to report to the FEC any election-related blogging they undertake as "political contributions" subject to campaign finance law.

...In October 2004, David Horowitz and I published a three-part expose at FrontPageMagazine.com called, "The Shadow Party." It revealed how Hillary Clinton and George Soros had joined forces to create a network of radical billionaires, non-profit foundations, 527 committees, public employee unions and leftwing nongovernmental organization's.

This "Shadow Party" has evolved into a veritable government-in-exile, with enormous influence in every sector of corporate, cultural, political, academic, financial and public life. Its most successful project to date has been the suppression of free speech through the McCain-Feingold Act.

Remember that George Soros called the United States "a threat to world peace" and recently compared the United States to Nazi Germany. (Soros should know all about Nazis, having collaborated with real ones to confiscate Jewish property during the war.) Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are both on Soros' "payroll," having accepted campaign contributions from him and/or his organizations.

Note Hanoi Jane's connection to the Soros-Occupied Government. This is the company that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama keep, and we all know about birds of a feather. Noting the Soros camp's frequent use of "Zionist Occupied Government" (e.g. at MoveOn.org's Action Forum), I recommend that we use the term "Soros Occupied Government" (SOG) to spread the TRUTH about Soros and his minions.

The so-called "Shadow Democratic Party" or "Shadow Party" is a nationwide network of non-profit activist groups, whose agendas are ideologically to the left, which are engaged in campaigning for the Democrats. Its activities include fundraising, get-out-the-vote drives, political advertising and covert operations (including opposition research, media manipulation and "dirty tricks").

The Shadow Party draws much of its funding from the entertainment world. The second and first spots are held respectively by George and Susan Soros ($13,120,000) and by Soros' long-time friend and collaborator, insurance mogul Peter B. Lewis ($14,175,000).

I have been waiting for someone to dig up these old quotes from Hillary. I was thinking about them this morning when I read that article about Sulzberger predicting the NYT would be internet only in five years and that he didn't care.

Hardly. McCain knew damn good and well what he was doing.

Subsequently, in an interview with Imus, McCain stated that, given a choice between free speech and "good government", he would choose "good government" every time.

What "good government" evidently means to McCain is secure jobs for incumbent politicians coupled with a media monopoly for the MSM while the rest of us just shut-up.

The return of the "Fairness Doctrine" concerns me. If a Democratic President gets in and they control both houses of Congress it will probably be voted back in.
