BISSAU, Guinea-Bissau (AP)-When the government of one of the world's poorest nations learned that Whoopi Goldberg had taken a DNA test showing her ancestors hair from here, the news reverbrated through the halls of parliament.
It was, the country's leaders decided, a chance to change the image of this West African nation plagued by coups since wrestling independence from Portugal in 1973. If the world could only grasp that a Hollywood celebrity traced her roots to this forsaken corner of the globe, it could bring goodwill from afar-even fame for Guinea-Bissau, they reasoned.

IMO, all of Hollywood should relocate to Africa.

Trade her to them for 100K kilos of grain, a cold beer, and a '42 Dodge, on condition that she bring Rosie O'Donut along, and both have their vocal nerves severed. They could demonstrate their ''social responsibility'' much better via some personal commitment, dontcha know.
I'd support this in a NYC taxicab minute.

So far, all we know is her weave is descended from Guinea-Bissau.
Now watch a Whoopi/crypto-Judaic/Christian cult rise up in the G-B slums. Whoopi as the Mother figure.

Now watch a Whoopi/crypto-Judaic/Christian cult rise up in the G-B slums. Wouldn't be the first time. There are thousands of third world cultists who worship Haile Selassie, ex emperor of Ethiopia.
