On right now...
Sean has been rooting Rudy for 6 months at least.
Of course you know that works both ways, right?
Should Hunter or Tancredo or Paul win the nomination, even though I might not agree with everything they say, I would march right in and pull the R lever.
Somehow I don't think that is going to happen on the other side of this disagreement.
If he is a true conservative. Not a problem. I just don't know him well enough... Yet!
Thanks! ;)
I am happy to wait until the first of the candidate debates before selecting the one who will get my vote in the primary.
I have already stated repeatedly that the GOP nominee gets my vote in the general election.
You have a point.
Maybe not conservatism but the Republican Party is damaged and of course the Republican Party is conservatisms best hope. And if the Republicans are going to win and keep the Clintons from having a second stint in the WH, we'd better nominate Rudy. He's our best hope right now. I'm sure Sean Hannity would agree.
and wasn't she instrumental in getting the laws changed?
I hate to say but a lot of people have forgotten 9-11 and the horror. Not the people on FR or the people on the east coast but I think a large number on the west coast have forgotten it. Perhaps they were too far away, literally.
As Rudy said tonight they, the Islamofacists, are at war with us and even if we leave Iraq they are still going to come after us (paraphrasing).
The WOT should be the top priority. Unfortunately, lesser priority issues are more important to some than being overrun by terrorists killing you.
I think both the GOP brand and the conservative brand have been terribly damaged by the president and the recent GOP congress.
Many strong conservatives were kicked in the balls on election day. Denial ain't a river in Egypt.
Small correction--Hellary is a lawyer. She sure does scream, yell and lie though.
I can't claim to be a constitutional expert on the 2A - but it seems to be alot of balancing going on there. "well regulated", what does that mean? OK, to keep arms is clear - but where can I "bear" them? anywhere I want, without restriction, including concealed carry? I don't know.
I'm not in favor of federal gun laws, I think a state based system works best.
I've gone far beyone that, and you can knock off the insults. I'm not taking the bait.
Serving in the military is not a prerequisite for elective office. Nor indicative of leadership ability. Or anything else, there are plenty of total jerks in the military. And incompetants, I'm sure you know both John Kerry and Al Gore served in Vietnam. I admit I have a bias in favor of those who have served. But I don't see it as an issue in this election.
"[Steele] has never won elective office"
Michael Steele served as the lieutenant governor of Maryland from 2003-07, and was elected in that capacity.
You have that right. Even so......the republican party is lost. They've drifted so far to the left that they are almost indistinguishable from the democrats. If Giuliani does somehow manage to win the nomination........I'm done with the republican party for good.
Al Franken is running in MN and Coleman was given the go-ahead to vote like he did. Same with McCain not being there to vote. If the vote had been needed, he and Collins would have been there. McConnel is one smart leader.
You mean gays are not more of a threat than terrorist?/s
