Two years after standing on the Brooklyn Bridge and watching the second tower fall, I joined the Dallas Morning News. My wife, a native Dallasite, praises our new city as “a September 10 kind of place.” She means that the anxieties attending our post-9/11 New York life simply don’t exist here. The downside is that people lull themselves into a false sense of security about the Muslim community. From where I sit, it looks to me as though the entire mainstream media also live in a September 10 kind of place. We—and I say “we” because I’m part of the dreaded MSM—really don’t want to know what’s happening among Muslims in Dallas, Brooklyn, or anywhere else.
Dallas is home to a large and relatively prosperous Muslim community. The Dallas Central Mosque is Texas’s largest. The area’s Muslims, though, have had a contentious relationship in recent years with the Dallas Morning News, mostly because of the paper’s groundbreaking 2001 reporting on the Holy Land Foundation, whose leadership is now under federal terrorism indictment. Since then, local Muslim leaders have engaged in a running dialogue with the News, with the declared aim of improving relations.

Could someone please post something positive on Muslims and Islam? If that is not possible, then my next questions is: why are they still allowed into the country?
At no time in our history has one section of our society posed such a high risk to the security of the rest of the people in this nation. Doesn't this show a neglect of the welfare of the majority of its people?

I was surprised to read the number of Islamic Schools that were on two hour delay in the Dayton area.
And then I wondered, in our nation, are Islamic teachers permitted to indoctrinate children against our nation in terms of calling those of us NOT followers of that dirty Mohammed (refering to his lifestyle-oh ICK!) infidels? Are the children taught it is ok to LIE to those of us not Islamic? Are the children taught that someday they may have to slaughter us in a jihad to honor that creepy leader they immulate?
Just wondered if there is any monitoring of their schools or if this is simply to un-PC for for the cowardly leftists.

UK: Muslim soldiers acted as "bait" for jihadists
Now here are some courageous anti-jihadist Muslims, who didn't just mouth empty words, as so many self-proclaimed moderates do, but went out on a limb and showed where they stood by their actions. Two British Muslim soldiers targeted by the alleged beheading gang were used in an extraordinary "sting" operation to snare their assassins, it has emerged.
The courageous pair agreed to act like "tethered goats" in an attempt to catch the extremists plotting to kidnap them.
The soldiers - who are not thought to have told their families that they were potential targets - were placed under unprecedented surveillance for weeks as officers waited for the terrorists to strike.
And as they tried to carry out their ordinary duties, the pair were aware that if the gang attempted to stage their abduction they could be attacked and bundled into a waiting vehicle at any time.
To prevent this, the security forces mounted a sophisticated surveillance operation.
In an operation reminiscent of a spy drama, their every move was monitored by a team of crack MI5 agents - linked to the soldiers by the latest in modern technology.
Details of the astonishing operation emerged last night as police were granted permission to carry on questioning nine men arrested on Wednesday in raids across Birmingham.
The suspects are alleged to have plotted an Iraq style kidnapping of a Muslim serviceman who has recently returned from Iraq or Afghanistan.
The idea was to kill him and post images of his bloody end on the Internet after forcing him to beg for his life and denounce Tony Blair.
Yesterday senior military sources told how they had been alerted to the possible abduction by police several weeks ago after the list of potential victims was narrowed down to just two.
But instead of taking the possible targets into protective custody, the men agreed to act as bait to try to smoke out their would-be attackers.
Their actions drew strong praise from senior security sources who said the soldiers showed "serious nerve" in the way they cooperated.

Yep. It's long past time to drop the PC facade and confront evil where it exists.
In "Dark Star" Paul Theroux claims that the Mau-Mau were Muslim. Sounds par for the course.
Islam is very tribal.. its a gang not a religion.. like all tribes..

Sharia law is tribal law in essence and very democratic..

Yes, of course they are. It's the freedom of opinion for Muslims. After all, they are the Religion of Peace. You don't believe me? Just ask this administration and most talk-show hosts.
