When the members of the Republican party betray the sound conservative principles of its founders and its own longstanding party platform and then vote in a leader whose personal beliefs and public record are more in line with those of the degenerate socialist Democrat party, then obviously the Republican party is sliding to the left. When large numbers of the members of a conservative party enthusiastically (you might even say overzealously or militantly) campaign for a social liberal and against sound conservative principles and candidates, then they are pushing the conservative principles, conservative candidates and conservative members out the exit doors.
Should the large number of members militantly campaigning for a socialist liberal for the presidency win out, and the only choices presented to the electorate by the two major political parties both share identical immoral socialist liberal ideologies, and the voter is left with voting for a socialist or a socialist, then obviously the resultant elected government will be a socialist government.
When the Republican Party abandons its conservative principles and abandons its fight against encroaching socialism, then obviously it is no longer a conservative party and we no longer have a major party fighting for traditional American values and against socialism.
When the American people abandon their longstanding traditional conservative family values and instead openly embrace socialism and perverted lifestyles, then America has moved left and is obviously no longer a traditional conservative nation.
When and if the American people abandon their traditional Judeo-Christian morality and traditional American conservative values, and instead opt for corrupt godless liberal/socialist immorality and perversion as the norm, then obviously America will have lost its way.
America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. The Founding Fathers warned us that our style of Republican government would only work for a moral society. When and if we as a nation turn our backs on God and the nation abandons our American traditional Judeo-Christian morals and values, and rampant godless socialism takes over, the America of our Founders ceases to exist.
You can spin it, twist it, deny it, make a million excuses and logical explanations for why electing a social liberal at this time is a good idea, but you cannot deny the simple truth. A social liberal is a liberal and liberals begat liberalism. Liberalism begats socialism. Our nation was founded on the self-evident truth that our unalienable rights come from God. Socialists deny God exists. Socialists say our rights come from men in government robes. What men in government robes give, other men in government robes can take away. Without God we have no unalienable rights. No unalienable rights means no freedom. No freedom means no America.
You know, I often think that all this turmoil of the past number of years has alot to do with spiritual warfare. How else can you explain some of things that have been happening?
Christians are hated. Our president hated and a political party and the media rooting for our enemies. Homosexuals admired and respected. Anyone who wants to protect babies villified. People who want to keep aborting babies praised. Even getting cheered and standing ovations for promising to keep on murdering.
You could go on and on. It is all so bizarre.
As Bob Dylan wrote, You gotta serve somebody, It may be the devil or it may be the Lord, But you gotta serve somebody.
OF COURSE YOU ARE TOTALLY CORRECT.
AND
I believe that fasting and prayer is probably 10-100 times more important than political activism.
But I believe BOTH are very important. We do well to encourage both.
Legs to prayer etc.
And legs to prayer in terms of school board member votes and running; bond issues; referendums etc.
imho.
Of course, that's a great first step.
However, I think that we have MANY far greater experts hereon who could give a LIST of great tips for having a much more potent impact at such levels than average.
Double Amen; the moral of this story: Conservatives (and right leaning people) should NOT give to the Republican Party, they should give DIRECTLY to the Candidates they support (*Starve the "beast" strategy..)! (I think it's a darn good one, and may be our only hope in the policial realm)..
I wouldn't want to discourage anyone who felt led of God to do that.
HOwever, all things being equal . . .the INGROUP/OUTGROUP STUFF IS FIERCE in the DIMRAT camp. They are VERY effective at insisting and INSURING that only doctrinaire globalists get any position, clout, etc. at all. Shoot they ALMOST do that well in the GOP. The DIMRAT party is deeply intensely and thoroughly, broadly sold out to santanic globalists WHOLESALE.
Agreed: Wholeheartedly.
That is only a place to start. You will gain knowledge to move on from there.
We need to return to Reagan ideals/Conservative principles that are A fusion between Traditional Americans (Christians/Social Cons) and (Smaller Govie Libertarian minded conservatives), As reagan himself proved/ I agree since I am one of them: these strands ARE NOT inconsistent..
If we do these, and have a great orator like RR as our standard bearer, then I believe we can "recapture" the majoriy of Americans (EVEN after out modern stint with liberalism, PCish ness, and Compromise).

Of course. And many would be quite find doing that.
But what I'm trying to get across is that we have soooo much super expertise here, we can do better to help the newbies to such things have more impact from the git go.

Support the conservative party platform. Support the conservative candidates. Do not allow the so-called "socially liberal" conservatives to strip the pro-life, pro-marriage, pro-family, pro-founders, pro-Creator, pro-unalienable rights planks from the platform. Do not allow serious consideration of any pro-choice, pro-gay, anti-second amendment candidate. Just say NO to all that socialist malarkey.
It's not looking good for America. Moral values are in the toilet. Yes there are moral people, but the increase in immorality is growing at a faster rate than moral values, IMO.
There's no quick political solution. The failure of men to be fathers, the courts siding with women in custody cases , cheap addictive drugs in mass quantities, has ruined the values and moral compass of a generation.
Even if welfare were dissolved it would take generations for the family to recover, and we know that's not going to happen. The social welfare institution in this country is so huge it will never die, just continue to grow.
IMO, It would take a national tragedy and period of personal sacrifice with along the scale of WWII to bring this nation back to any sense of morality.
You could try to make the RAT party conservative, but you will be starting with Marxists. Why bother?

You're from Michigan, so you know better than I do -- all those union guys who vote Democrat, how many would be more amenable to conservative values than Marxist ones?
And they only vote Democrat because their parents did, and don't realize how wacky the party has become?

That policy is the one that has me grimace -- every time the RNC calls me they know I was generous in the past.
Hunter should have ran for President in 2000. The country would have been better off than it is now, IMO.
