He wasn't booed. He was moo-ed. His first name is Mushin. If you are aware of any athlete named Deuce or Lou (as in sweet Lou Whittaker), You'd understand this phenomena.

Not a boo. They were saying "Moooooooooose," his nickname based on "Muhsin," his first name. Fans have at times wore moose antlers in his honor.
Also, although his father converted to Islam when Muhsin was 4, Muhsin Muhammad is actually a Christian. (For what it's worth, his wife is named Christa.)
