Well - agreed - but not this early in the game. Colts taking advantage of new chance....(which is good - to me). Manning went for first down not long pass. Good.

Sure early. Two things to remember, as a strong running team Chicago wants to establish in the mind of Indy's D the long ball, keep the D from stacking on the line all the time; also Grossman has been better on longer passes than short this year, if you decide you must pass to convert the 3rd going long is playing to his strength.
