That pregame left me cold. I guess no flag waving this year. It must be out of style in this not so brave world.

I guess most years I don't watch the pre-game, but I was sure surprised how much like the opening Olympics ceremony that was.
This is FOOTBALL people, it comes with it's own traditions.

I know one betting pool that has as its tie breaker, How long it will take Billy Joel to sing the National Anthem

CBS Sucks. The announcers are all 'homers' being that they carry the AFC games. And since these CBS 'experts' have just basically anointed the Colts the winner, that clinches it --- Bears 42, Colts 10.
In the NFC Championship game the so-called experts 'gave' the Saints that one too. Their offense was just too much for the Bears - HA! This will be deja vu all over again.
The only remaining questions are:
- Will Manning CRY on camera?
- Does he commit suicide by gun, pills or rope?
- Does he 'do it' soon like tomorrow, or over the winter when it sinks in he's a .
oh, did I say CBS ...
SUCKS?
(and Phil Simms voice is ANNOYING as hell!)

Totally agreed - the pregame stuff was highly un-football like. Sheesh.
Turnovers will be the key in this game. Whoever holds onto the ball the best will win.
To: mware
That is just wrong, as our troops deployed in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan really really look forward to Super Bowl. It's a prime opportunity to let them know how appreciated and honored they are.
Team intros next...

I must say I am not understanding all the "hate" for Peyton.
