Hmmm... But you could make the argument that following the dissection of a cadaver, the parts become medical waste. Would medical waste be considered to be 'property'?

IANAL, but yes. And there are pretty strict laws governing the disposal of both medical waste and human remains.

Actually, a corpse IS property, but I'm damned if I can find the article I read that discusses the details.

In Miami about 20 years ago, two Columbian cocaine smugglers were stopped by police for reckless driving. The PD subsequently opened the trunk to the Audi and found a dead body. Since Florida had no laws regarding the transport of dead bodies, there was no violation regarding the dead body! (Who was never identified, BTW).

I guess it was their "property".
