Sorry to hear that. We'll be praying.
Prayers for our country also and for all those who cherish the best that America has been and can be.
prayers for comfort, for ALL.
Prayers for all his family and friends.
MrConfettiMan and I both registered on FR at about the same time. We were members of the great FR Class of '98 (the ever-active, give 'em hell, Freep the Creep class, LOL).
MCM was my hero then for his dedication to the conservative cause and his freeps against the pernicious William Jefferson Clinton. He will always be a personal hero and I'll hold him in my heart.
My condolences to his gracious wife who I had the honor of meeting along with him in a get-together freep with the Florida Chapter in Orlando.
Through blurry eyes.....two verses from a powerful hymn which is a favorite of mine and a comfort always.
Be still my soul, when dearest friends depart
And all is darkened in the vale of tears
Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart
Who comes to soothe thy sorrow and thy fears
Be still my soul, thy Jesus can repay
From His own fullness all He takes away
Be still my soul, the hour is hastening on
When we shall be forever with the Lord
When disappointments, grief and fear are gone
Sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored
Be still my soul, when change and tears are past
All safe and blessed.......we shall meet at last
Until then, good night sweet Freeper.
Leni
Prayers up
Some time ago, Joe sent me a CD with all of his early photos of DC Chapter/Free Republic freeps/events. MrConfettiMan's Photo Album can be found on the DC Chapter website under the Photo link -- www.dcchapter.com.
Rest in peace, Joe. Prayers and condolences to your wife, children and family.
Does anyone have a picture of Joe for the Memorial Wall?
Joe stood up and we didn't give a bunch of excuses to join him. He set the standard of a true Freeper.
How terribly sad, may God uphold and protect his wife and daughter. He was such a brave man, and he showed that one man can make a real differance.
What a wonderful song to use here at this sad time for all who knew and loved MCM. May God give him a great spot in Heaven where he can watch what's going on in his dear country.
Prayers offered. How sad.
Why is it that at every FReep I have attended, I think of Joe? And why is it that I feel slightly guilty when I cannot attend a FReep?
Could it be that Joe set the standard with his classic: "I was there, where were you?" thread?
Rest in Peace, my FRiend. The world is a better place for your having walked with us for an all too short time.
Prayers up for Joe and his family and FRiends.
The first picture on that Finest thread is the one that should be on the Memorial wall. Who is in charge of the wall?
I'm so sorry to hear he lost his fight.
RIP, MCM.
Heartbreaking. God bless Joe and his family. Prayers.
Prayers for his family. Sad to hear that he's gone.
Rest in peace, Joe. I am praying for God's comfort for his family.
Thanks for posting these photos. May God ease the suffering of his family and fill their loss with His love.
