You Sir are wrong...in Texas... Using lethal force to prevent or stop Malicious Mischief at nighttime is a defense to prosecution in Texas...plus many other uses of lethal force...

That would at a minimum be a starting point...they know a home/provisions/etc are at the end of those power lines.....but these vermin will simply change tactics...

Why does Sutton get this massive soapbox while the two agents must sit in prison for the next decade with no right of reply? Sutton is on a massive PR campaign to advance his political career and right now his career stinks to the average voter. The enabling of this creep - who continuously tells little white lies about how the two agents shot the doper 'in the back' (in fact, it was the butt), but to say 'back' has a psychological impact, as well as his little white lie about how MOST border agents support him (does he really KNOW most border patrol agents? He does not! Once again, another little white lie) is a big red flag warning that this guy is not to be trusted. I don't think these media should be giving this oily sutton creature the time of day other than to pan him and his miscarriage of justice. Sutton is an overzealous rogue prosecutor and should be scrutinized by the public for that very characteristic which endangers our border, gives succor to dopers, makes dopers very rich men, and destroys all of our liberty. This guy should not even be employed - anywhere.
You're not allowed to use deadly force in a non-life-threatening situation.
And while Nifong Sutton was spending time on this, how many other illegals have crossed the border and committed felonies?
If the 2 border agents were so evil, how did they manage to hold those jobs for over a decade each?

He'll spew the same old garbage. I don't believe him. They should have given the officers a slap on the wrist or a week off, not 10 years in jail. They are HEROS not felons.

Pure spin. Of course the doper is a scumbag. The thing is, though, he is making the scumbag a very rich man by his overzealous prosecution. He didn't need to go as far as he did but he did and he did it because he wanted to succor the scumbag. There really are people that low who will choose a scumbag over a just man or even an honest man who makes mistakes. Leftwing lawyers are case in point. Sutton is worse than a leftwing lawyer though - he is a politically ambitious Nifong who is tryin to fool people into thinking he is rightwing and cares about justice. The facts of his actions do not support this and he should be treated as a liar and a dissembler and a Trojan horse for the leftwing lawyer left because that's exactly what he is. Given a choice of a scumbag or an honest man, he chose the side of the scumbag because that is what he values.

Speak for yourself. Are you saying no one should be allowed to comment on the state of affairs if they were not on the jury? Understand that that is a totalitarian position. So long as I am free in this country, I will comment and speak out as is my federal right. You have the same right, so feel free to either speak or abstain, but do not question my right to speak out as a free citizen.
He doesn't sound like Nifong to me. It sounds like his office built a solid case.
Too bad that wasn't literal. I'd like to see him on the unemployment line or better yet, dining at a homeless kitchen.

Nifong didn't sound like Nifong either. No prosecutor thinks he's doing anything but God's work. Nifong certainly thought he was and so does his political twin, Sutton. But I judge them by their actions, not their soapbox spincontrol justifications after the fact. I hope the political seat is hot for this Sutton creep and political office remains off limits to him.
