I'm angry. I'm angry at the 'antiwar' protesters who heaped abuse on our troops. And I'm angry at the people who couldn't be bothered to stand up for our troops yesterday.
Tens of thousands of anti-American leftists and their dupes marched on our nation's capital calling for America's defeat in the war on terror in Iraq.
Only about forty people could be bothered to turn out in support of America's victory in Iraq. Among those forty was a civilian POW held by the North Vietnamese communists and several Iraq war veterans--including wounded warriors who left the hospital to stand up for their brothers in arms on the home front.
Why did former POW Mike Benge and Iraq vet Joshua Sparling only find a few dozen people willing to stand with them? Why, as the anti-American left is heading toward repeating their victory in Vietnam, are so many people sitting on their asses and doing nothing to stop them?
Why, when Joshua Sparling was spat on, cursed at and threatened by 'peace marchers', were there so few people there to defend his honor?
Why was Jane Fonda allowed to desecrate the Navy Memorial and only face token opposition?
Why did Mike Benge see thousands more people showing up to cheer Jane Fonda than there were to denounce her?
Those who were there to support these patriots will be posting their observations and photos on this thread. I've said my piece.
Reserve Sgt Craig Breiner walked 45 miles in 15.5 hours from the beach at Belmar to Trenton to boost morale the week before. These folks came out to watch the backs of their buddies. It was their decison, on their own, they believed it worth the trouble and the risk.
I am AS patriotic as anyone here, possibly more so.
That may or may not be true, but as for most pompus, you've got my vote.
Unfortunately, that has become the measure by which the media reports on public opinion on things, especially wars.
Sometimes you don't get to choose where, when or how you fight.
i dont know if krissten is still reading his emails and you seem to be very active, if you could check out post #374, maybe there is something we can do this summer:)
If anyone thinks "I'm not qualified" you're wrong, YOU are exactly who is the best person to do it.
Kristin, I have a reason that will not share with anyone. Some things are going on in my life that are demanding my time. Hopefully within the next couple weeks, I will be back at my Friday night post.
If they are going through BWI again, let's try and see if we can get some hoagies into the right hands.
That's suspect.
It is, I agree. Sorry about that.
Kristinn - I was sick as a dog yesterday and feeling really guilty about not being there. I am really proud of the 40 that were there and shame on the rest of us.
If you won't take your own advice, why should we?
The left could stay home, smoke pot and smell bad, but they do make a decision that it's more important to come out.
I will concewde the point that we don't give adequate notice.

stand watie is OK. He's been out in the past.
They've been doing this for over 40 years, so it's easy for them. Like hitting the button on a copy machine.
What's you name mister!??
Sorry DR, I could not resist.
I was not making a comment on what you or anyone else was doing and why. I got off on a rant there. As far as the soldiers like many other people here I've done all sorts of things for the soldiers why they are over there and once they get back here. We OWE them support. We not only OWE them support we HAVE to support them. And that's what upsets me with the Republicans and the administration. They should never ever let the left do anything that harms our troops without a very strong response. But unfortunately they basically sit quitely while people comfort the enemy.
Never discount the value of a solo Freep. When Hillary was runing for Senate, kattracks did a solo at a Hillary fundraiser. As Hillary kept the press out, the local evening news had her on opposite the Democrat Mayor and gave her equal time.
Lots of time you don't see the immediate result. We became the "B-roll" stock footage that appears six months later to illustrate pro-troops sentiment in the nation, or you find out some columnist talks about the lone proester they saw.
Never, ever believe it was in vain. Lots of them are not even though it seems like a bust.
$5 says Arlen Specter. Has he mentioned Scottish Law yet?
Good thing the Minute Men didn't require adeqaute notice.
If the media lived up to all the BS they spout about journalism protecting us, they be the ones to be telling us all about that. But they don't, that's why the media other than a few outlets is useless.
Granted hellery and mccain plus other anti war people were there who I won't bother to name.........BUT this center is a miraculous place and also has two Fisher houses for the soldiers families to stay in while they are undergoing rehab.
