MANCHESTER, N. H., Jan. 27 — Rudolph W. Giuliani sounded nearer than ever to being a presidential candidate on Saturday, repeatedly talking about the prospect of running, and inviting voters to judge him by his record as mayor of New York City.

But, even if your claims meant anything, which they don't, it wouldn't change the fact that Giuliani's politics are more suited to the Green Party than to the GOP.

Name another Republican mayor who transformed the most liberal, crime-ridden city in America into the safest city in America in just six years.

Name another Republican mayor who transformed the most liberal, crime-ridden city in America into the safest city in America in just six years.

The streets of Rome and Berlin were quite safe to walk in the nineteen twenties and thirties, too. Big deal.

Giuliani won the Reagan Medal of Freedom. I know that just about kills you but you'll have to deal with it.

And since Reagan appointed Giuliani to an important post at DOJ, he must have thought highly of him. As so many people do.

Liberals who try and lay claim to "fiscal conservatism" always turn out to be liars.

Still no refutations of Rudy's fiscal and public safety conservatism.

The thousands of free-loaders Rudy kicked off the city's welfare rolls.
The thousands of minority lives Rudy saved.
The end to racial preferences & quotas in city hiring.
The pimps, prostitutes, and johns kicked out of Times Square which is now a family-friendly destination.

You know, whatever. If you want to whine about social issues that Presidents have very little control over, and which belong at the community/local/family level, then be my guest.

Rudy ran in NY - where everyone runs on a number of tickets - including the liberal ticket.

Don't forget about the possiblity of ideologicial purity you have in the Constitution Party. Imagine - no dissent!

I'll refute you again, since you seem to be deaf:

Even if you grant your man credentials on "fiscal and public safety issues," (they're largely contrived, but whatever) that doesn't change the fact that he's a statist socialist. Down through history, lots of statist socialists have been great at making the trains run on time. Does that mean we should want one in the most powerful position on earth? Might work for you, but not for me.

The Constipation Party, with Allan Keyes as the grand Poobah! they can still wear white robes with pointy hoods in that party. Now they certainly hope to bring back the GOOD old days!
