MANCHESTER, N. H., Jan. 27 Rudolph W. Giuliani sounded nearer than ever to being a presidential candidate on Saturday, repeatedly talking about the prospect of running, and inviting voters to judge him by his record as mayor of New York City.

There's always the Constitution Party. You could be a big man there :-)

He supported the so-called 'Assault Weapons Ban" and the Brady Bill. Go ahead and put all the lipstick on that pig you want, but it's going to keep oinking.

What I said was that you supporting losers does not make you a valued counselor on winning. Learning from winners may be a big help to you :-)

No, socialist as defined by his support for the liberal agenda across the board. I'd never thought I'd see the day when cutting taxes and reducing government would be considered socialist.
Is this a DU thread?

Is that your date for tonight?
To: Extremely Extreme Extremist
You really think that Rudy's record in NYC is one of a tax cutter and that he reduced government?
I knew Rudy was starting to believe his own spin, but obviously his supporters are following him into delusion.

I'll tell you what. I'll check back in a few hours and see your documentation that the size of the local NYC government, and its level of spending, was smaller when Giuliani left office than when he entered.
Anything less is simply smoke and mirrors.

You still have your guns after 8 years of Clinton, don't you?And we still will even IF (and that's a big IF) there is either a president Giulianna or another Clintoon, because the government doesn't have the guts or the manpower to try to take them away, and if they try there'll be hell to pay, and they know it.

"If that was the case you wouldn't have a FR Rudy Hater Club flop sweating over their keyboards."
I think you'll find that the majority of your "Rudy Hater[s] Club" don't really hate him. He did a fine job immediately following the 9/11 attacks and in cleaning up NYC, as I have previously stated. Any Mayor worth his salt would have been expected to do the same thing.
We are just sick to death of RINOS and are trying to educate the general public, as well as the Rudy-Bots of his beliefs and stance on current issues. Beliefs, I might add that have been well-documented by his history.
Evidently, you are against the 2nd Amendment and the right of the citizens to own firearms, you also must favor homosexual marriage and you think that partial birth abortions should be accepted as the norm. Based on your previous posts, I can only deduct that the above are all true.
Go ahead and vote for your man in the primaries. That is your right as an American citizen and I wholeheartedly will defend that right. But please consider the direction that this ex-Mayor will take our country. We are in desperate need of a man that will unite us into one strong voice against the War on Terror. Sorry, but I do not think Rudy is the man for the job as the worlds most powerful man, which is what the U.S. President is, like it or not.

So you have nothing to fear from a Rudy presidency then, right? All your bloviating against him is moot.

I'll give $50.00 right now to FR if you can find a post of mine where I was for any of those things.
Otherwise you better not apply for a job in law enforcement..cuz "deducting" isn't your strong suit.

All your bloviating against him is moot.No. I still don't like the fact that he is misrepresenting himself as a conservative, and some folks here either can't figure that out, or choose to ignore it just because he has an "R" attached to his name.
I see him as not giving a damn about the most innocent Americans, the unborn, and willing to sell this country out to illegals and turn us into a third world hell hole. He is still anti-gun, which means any hopes for meaningful pro-gun legislation are out the freaking window. I will continue to oppose him as I continue to opppose his shadow, Michael Bloomberg.

I guess I just assumed that since you are such a Rudy fan that you supported his stance on those issues.
Your posts here at #52 & #73 seem to indicate that he has your full support.
Also here if anyone wants to take the time to read them.

Most likely, it's because they are scared that he can and WILL beat any Dem candidate.
Many Christians would much rather have Rudy for president than Hillary; even if some people on FR have already said that hey WILL vote for her.

Oh really? The SCOTUS had NOTHING at all to do with Roe V Wade, I guess.

Unless your guns have the serial numbers rubbed off, were used in commission of a criminal act, or are unlicensed, even if you had them in N.Y.C., he wouldn't have been interested in taking them away from you; EV.
