I agree, Brownback is destroying himself from what I'm seeing.

To: rodguy911
Thankfully, Cheney could care less about the anti american media.
When you see the look on his face when questioned, you can just about read his mind.

I think one of the reasons you are seeing hillary coming out so much now is because it is still early enough in the campaign for most anything she says or does now to be conveniently forgotten by the msm. Also it gives her great cover for when she goes into mandatory hiding from August til Nov. of next year. She can claim she has already been out there answering the tough questions.(only she did it when it didn't really count)

You are so right. I'm tired of the unelected media trying to control this nation and put in their own agenda.

I know this... Brownbeck totally pissed me off by being the only shill handing out signs at the March for Life... no good, it's not done. He spoke before Duncan Hunter. I should add, many come from Kansas... Everyone there knows he's pro-life, maybe this shows he;s thinking lifers are not smart enough to look at all the issues... to me, that's an insult. Okay, i'm through eating my own now.

Funny how people like Biden love to talk about Constitutional powers, but never bother to read the Constitution. If he did, he'd know he's pretty much limited to confirming appointments and approving treaties.

That "conversation" she had with her supporters yesterday was so unbelievable scripted it was ridiculous. Her plan is to keep it that way and use a willing media to get back in the White House. This must NOT happen.

The administration needed Specter's votes on issues coming before the senate before the election. If they abandoned him he would have made them pay BIG TIME.
Further, whatever we all think of Specter, he got our supreme court nominees thru his committee and out for a full senate vote.
Too bad some traitorous republicans chose not to vote and ended any hope of getting another conservative judge thru the senate.

Exactly!!!!! The primaries are when you vote for the one who espouses your personal political beliefs. If everybody would vote like that in the primaries we would get the most conservative. That is what I will do but if I have to hold my nose to vote for some one I really don't like in the national elections, I will do so to keep a democrat like Hillary, Obama, Kucinich, Richardson, Biden, Dodd or any other whacko defeatist out of the White House. I shudder to think of one of them being the CIC.

Here is the money quote from Huckabee's announcement.
"My brand of conservatism is not an angry hostile brand. It's one that says 'conservative' means we want to conserve the best of our culture, society, principles and values and pass them on," he said last month.
I sorry but that statement pretty much alienates me from this guy. Conservatism is not angry and hostile. LIBERALISM is angry and hostile. It holds people and institutions in contempt and demands the right of a self selected elite to micromanage all us peasant's lives for us.
NOTE to all Reagan wannabees. Ronald Reagan NEVER apologized for being a Conservative.

I was deeply surprised by the president's delivery, deliberate pace, low-key but very strong and conservative arguments, and his poise. ......... I was stunned by the number of times he forced the Democrats not only to applaud, but even to get to their feet, whether with fake enthusiasm or grudgingly--even on key matters regarding the war on terror and Iraq, but also on health care and energy concerns that the Democrats prematurely regard as their strongest turf. The Democrats were forced neither to hiss nor to boo, but to listen with far greater warmth than all day long the media were predicting.......... I mentioned something very similar to this to dad I was very surprised also cynical I felt madam speaker was somehow behind the dems behaviour. She did not want them to ruin her moment of glory and place in history something actually that I can understand and although I do not like or agree with her she will go down in history as the first women speaker and she has the right to make sure her party did not to ruin it for her.
