Diverse Voices To Denounce Iraq Troop Plan [Hanoi Jane's war protest] [FR DC Chapter opposes]
Washington Post ^ | January 27, 2007 | By Michael E. Ruane

Tens of thousands of demonstrators from across the country are expected to converge in Washington today to urge the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq as President Bush is proposing to send more troops in an effort to stabilize the country.

They plan to rally on the Mall, march around the north side of the Capitol and send a strong message to the government.

The event, which authorities said could draw 100,000 people, starts with a rally at 11 a.m. Among those expected to address the crowd are Jane Fonda, Danny Glover, Susan Sarandon and Jesse Jackson.

The march, organized by the group United for Peace and Justice, is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

~~snip~~

Fifty to 100 members of the Washington chapter of the conservative organization FreeRepublic.com plan to rally near the U.S. Navy Memorial to oppose the march and the participation of Jane Fonda, the chapter said. The actress has long been the object of conservative ire for her support of North Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

"These groups are the ones that are acting as the political arm of the terrorists overseas to help bring about America's defeat in the war on terror," said Kristinn Taylor of FreeRepublic.com.

The more I think of it, the "purple finger" that was dyed during the Iraqi elections should have been the middle one, pointed right at the Democrats, and shysters like the "Reverenda Thacksuuuunnnnn"...

Medea says: Pull out NOW

OK. Medea, Okay, here's the plan:

Back off and let those men who want to marry men marry men.

Allow those women who want to marry women marry women.

Pull out now and/or allow those folks who want to abort their babies abort their babies.

In two generations there will be no Democrats!!!

I love it when a plan comes together

Mo1 posted a video from before the war, when Hillary was speaking in front of Code Pink...

It shows Hillary making the case FOR THE WAR...and the Pinkies arguing with her.

That video has GOT to be used against Hillary in this campaign...

Jesselyn Radack
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Jesselyn Radack is a former U.S. Department of Justice ethics adviser who argued that John Walker Lindh (the "American Taliban") could not be interrogated since he was represented by a lawyer. The Federal Bureau of Investigation later questioned Lindh without giving him access to his lawyer.

In the course of Lindh's criminal prosecution, the court ordered all documents associated with his interrogation to be turned over. After some documents were turned over, Radack was asked about the existence of more documents. At that time, Radack looked through the files and discovered that the bulk of her work was missing and had not been turned over. Radack was able to reconstruct much of her work, and she subsequently informed her supervisor that her department had not complied with the court order. However, she was forced to resign before the documents were turned over.

Meanwhile, it was the official position of the Department of Justice that it had no knowledge that Lindh was represented by a lawyer prior to his interrogation--a position contradicted by Radack's files. Upon reading about the government's position in an article in Newsweek, Radack faxed her documents to Newsweek. As a result of her public disclosure, Radack was put under criminal investigation. Ronald Powell, a special agent for the Justice Department's Office of the Inspector General, informed Radack's new employer of the investigation and questioned its staff and lawyers, and Radack lost her job as a result. After some time, the criminal investigation was closed with no charges, but her case was referred to the state bar of Maryland, which eventually cleared her of all wrongdoing.

As a result of these events, Radack was placed on the no-fly list.

Radack is a graduate of Brown University and Yale Law School.

Ann Wright. We're not going to wait for three thousand more to be killed.

Rich.

Once more, I'm going to guess that she's not talking about 9/11

Just admitted they're all enemy combatants.

Anybody call the FBI?

Jesselyn Radack
Former Justice Department Attorney

" Today on CSPAN [they covered the real 100,000 participants at Monday's Right to Life March last Monday at 12:30AM - so there can be few people who will be able to compare the relative sizes of the two rallies]"

CNN's reporter at the mall , Gary Nuremberg , said at about 11am EST that
" there were many, many more people at Monday's Right to Life March than are here, now ..but, but,.. it's still early ."

If the antiwar protesters were so concerned with war, they would go to Sadr City and Karbala and Baghdad and Gaza City and the tribal areas of Pakistan and Syria and Iran and Lebanon , etc, etc and demand that everyone stop killing .
