"That's just it...none of them have a "plan" to solve the problem. Their only "plan" is to go against whatever Bush does."
Exactly! As recently as December they were bashing Bush for not committing more troops - now that he is, they bash him for it. No hint of recognition of their hypocrisy enters their minds -- or those of the MSM.
The Dem talking mutt that gave the response to the SOU, Webb, said the Dims have a "formula".....is that like a "plan"? lol
Exactly. They are irresponsible and cowardly.
I'll be praying for you all.
I want to point out also, this is the first time I've noticed such an aggressive cross promotion of their protest events.
I've signed up for every email and newsletter I could since MeekOneGop and I found the cross donation links from CPUSA and MoveOn.org. that was (3?)years ago.
This protest tomorrow has come through on at least 5 different lefty organization mail notifiers now.
Normally, their emails and notifiers just have a link to upcoming events and protests are listed as FYIs.
This is hard recruiting. They are calling it 'people-power to turn the tide'.
Senator Biden and Warner would do well to learn that. Of course it's difficult for them to learn anything when they don't close their mouth long enough to listen to someone.
He can't authorize the assassination of anyone. Remember the Church Commission and Jimmy Carter? It's illegal. Another one we owe to Jimmy and the Democrats. Bomb a Mosque and give them another excuse to whip up the fanatics. I understand your frustration, but he can;t always do what he wants. I'm sure there are times when the President has just wanted to say "the Hell with it, lets just nuke Iran & Iraq and get it over with. Unfortunately, life isn't that simple. Wish it were.
We need to "Rock Their Casbahs" eh? Sometimes, I feel that same way.
is this the same as being the "decider?"
who writes this stuff???
"said the Dims have a "formula".....is that like a "plan"? lol"
Maybe it's a 'formula' to get a plan....but, that would require responsibility.
It's about time!
Exactly. Can't he just say, "I'm Commander-in-Chief," and go on to explain in whithering tones and condescending detail exactly what that means? Oh, I forgot, he's brought a "new tone" to Washington. (We have discovered that Mr. Bush DOES consider himself to be an intellectual inferior to those in Congress.)
You do realize your plan would kill millions of Iraqis desirous of freedom, to get a few thousand bad Iraqis and the terrorists flooding their country. Sad.
This is a great read regarding Iraq and an excerpt:
Iraq and the Ghost of Johnnie Cochran
...the US set out to do what's never been done before: simultaneously topple a tyrant, aid in reconstituting a nation, help in rebuilding that country. The Marshall Plan didn't begin until three years after Germany fell from a six-year war and took two more years to complete: eleven years from war to reconstruction.
Iraq has had a third as much time.
American success brought on the savagery in Iraq today: Saddam dead, Uday dead, Qusay dead, Zarqawi dead, the deck of cards shredded, constitution endorsed by an enormous majority, parliament seated and legislating on topics no other Arab country would touch, prime minister taking charge, schools and clinics and water and electricity and commerce rising.
Would-be successors see Iraq slipping out of their grasp. And so they attack.
Interesting.
Not so much the President's declaration, but that certain blogs usually always willing to grant the politician's benefit of the doubt for operating according to conscience seem to have had enough and are calling them out as political opportunist's. Except for Powerline.
I signed the Pledge for what it's worth. Not because I think the politician's give a damn what I think, but because certain blogs finally seem to be willing to take a stand NOT to grant immunity to these weasels during the election cycle just because they have an "R" by their name.
If there is an issue to take such a stand, the war is it.
For the record I'm still 100% behind victory in this war, even though I've rightly doubted our pols committment for quite some time and assumed their cowardice was a matter of time. If the Republican Leadership can actually hold their team together on an issue that counts for once I might re-discover a smidgeon of respect for them.
They are ramping up as their subjects in CONgre$$ are making their move.
Thanks for the info and the prayers!!!
That's right. The only plan to emerge from the Opposition is to withdraw and leave Iraq to its bloody destiny. Other consequences of withdrawal would include giving comfort to the enemy so that this war would be brought to our own shopping malls and nuclear war to Israel.
The President hasn't failed to keep a positive approach to the War on Terror. The MSM has lied and pounded those lies into the psyches of the American people and the Republicans running for reelection didn't have the guts to stand with the President.
ANWR, social security, and not even immigration had anything to do with the Republican loss in November (I presume that's what you're talking about here).
So, how about the issue that's supposed to drive elections...........the economy? The President has shown great leadership on taxes and pro-business policies and the economy is booming. But the American people, dimwitted as they are, don't even know it, or ignored it when they went into the polling booth.
You also underestimate the vile opposition to anything Bush stands for by the RATS over the last six years. Perhaps you demand miracle making in Presidents to support them, but I don't.
This President is a real leader, and not just in the War on Terror. But even if you only admit his leadership in that area, your initial response on this thread is still dead wrong.
I wish Bush would say things less open to mocking than "decider". The moron lefties salivate at that stuff.
Did anyone else see the show? An excerpt:
This piece showed Warner as a man of conscience. Marine vet of WWII & Korea. It also clearly pointed out that he differs from the President on some issues (Iraq) but never, ever fails to support him and refuses to criticize him.
My reply, in part:
Oh that is RICH!!! He supports the C-i-C??? He refuses to criticize him??? PULEEEZE!!!
Every chance he gets he proposes some asinine bill or resolution to usurp the Constitutional Authority of the President and C-i-C. Do you know what he is doing this week in the SINate???
Maybe you should suggest using MOABs. That way there is no radiation fallout on other non-targeted nations and the US isn't branded with using nukes again, justifying someone else using a nuke against us. It will take more bombs, but they're like Frito's - We'll make more.
"We are full of hope. We have no other choice but to use force and any place where we receive fire will not be safe even if it is a school, a mosque, a political party office or home," he said. "There will be no safe place in Iraq for terrorists."
