What a confusing post......

The President hasn't failed to keep a positive approach to the War on Terror. The MSM has lied and pounded those lies into the psyches of the American people and the Republicans running for reelection didn't have the guts to stand with the President.

ANWR, social security, and not even immigration had anything to do with the Republican loss in November (I presume that's what you're talking about here).

So, how about the issue that's supposed to drive elections...........the economy? The President has shown great leadership on taxes and pro-business policies and the economy is booming. But the American people, dimwitted as they are, don't even know it, or ignored it when they went into the polling booth.

You also underestimate the vile opposition to anything Bush stands for by the RATS over the last six years. Perhaps you demand miracle making in Presidents to support them, but I don't.

This President is a real leader, and not just in the War on Terror. But even if you only admit his leadership in that area, your initial response on this thread is still dead wrong.

So, how about the issue that's supposed to drive elections

Those are the issues, because Bush never pressed those issues, and ultimately failed. it gave the DemoRats more time to focus on taking down the successes of the war. And it was because the DemoRats were able to divert all of their energy to making the war the central issue, where Bush could have diverted public attention back to the other issues I mentioned. A strong White House can and should be able to control the agenda, not the Democrats and the media. If Bush would have fought as hard for immigration reform, or drilling in ANWR instead of allowing the GOP leadership to succumb to the implied threat of filibuster every time the Rats don't get their way.
It is up to the White House to control the lies of the MSM and counter them every time they are spoken, and make people accountable for what they say when they are misleading. Instead the White House is quiet until it is too late. The war has been the focal point of the White house. With few other successes, the Rats want to make sure to make the war a failure, so Bush will be a failure. We know he isn't. So why has the public perception of Bush changed to make him a failure?
