Muslim Groups Opposed to ABC's Hiring of Radio Talk Show Host

(CNSNews.com) - Three Arab and Muslim American advocacy groups are voicing their opposition to ABC's "Good Morning America" hiring talk-show host Glenn Beck, claiming he has "an obvious anti-Arab and anti-Muslim prejudice in his broadcasts." The Arab American Institute, American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, and the Muslim Public Affairs Council claim Beck made "threats and blatantly inaccurate statements" on his show. The groups sent a letter to ABC/Disney asking for a meeting to detail their concerns. They have also launched a membership action campaign urging supporters to contact ABC News over Beck's hiring. "[Glenn Beck's] addition to 'Good Morning America' would disseminate his prejudiced, openly-hostile and ignorant commentary to an even broader national audience, and diminish the credibility of your reputable and highly-rated news show," said the groups said in the letter to ABC. "To provide a platform for his hateful speech is dangerous and irresponsible, and we strongly and urgently implore you to reconsider this move," they wrote.

ABC seems to be the first one catching on a little.

Maybe CAIR and the other bags of scum should be informed that Glen Beck was hired only because Danny Pearl couldn't be reached.

That article doesn't surprise me. Watch John Hagee tomorrow morning on TCT network at 7AM Eastern or 4PM and learn more.

I've met Glenn a couple of times. He is as real in person as he is on the radio and on TV. With Glenn, what you see is what you get. He is a really nice guy.

They can all claim something-or-other from the ratings.

As long as the good guys do better than the bad guys I'm happy.

Glenn is on at different times different places, I think he live at 9am on the east coast which is a little early, but in our market he is on at noon against Rush, while Savage is at 6pm all by himself (except the few places where Levin is on -- Levin apparently beat Savage in New York in the last ratings period, but Levin isn't on that many stations yet).

I listen to Glenn sometimes when Rush is boring or there is a guest I don't like. If he was on against Sean I'd listen to Glenn all the time.

He seems nice.

That's why I was surprised when he mentioned his past drug abuse on his tv show.

'With Glenn, what you see is what you get...'

agree. I, too, met him a few times. I attended his Defend the Constitution rallies in Tampa during the 2000 recount fiasco. Also, attended his Support America rallies in Clearwater and West Virginia. Glenn is a good guy and he's very patriotic. I cringe thinking that he's on CNN and ABC...but, MAYBE, he can convert a few libs.

He is a recovering alcoholic, drug user, radio clown, talk show host....
Also a Mormon.

I like him because he tells it like it is. His family life is what is keeping him sober. Plus, I imagine his jobs. I can't imagine having his schedule.
