Answer: A Muslim woman.
Carnac: What is a veiled threat?
To: quantim
All the defense needs to do is have a male witness contradict her, since in a Sharia court a man's testimony is worth four times as much as a woman's (so I've read.)

U.S. law trumps any religious conviction. The only consideration is, is it U.S. law? That I am not sure of. If not and it is made law, does her religious belifs get grandfathered in? Damn it it is time to send all Muslims packing to contries that share their religious beliefs.
To: quantim
Make that, it = it is.
I should have also mentioned that in Hamtramck, Michigan the city council allowed the five-times-per-day Muslim call to prayer to be broadcast over Hamtramck's loudspeakers as they voted unanimously in April 2004 to allow it. There were many threads here on this topic.

It could just as well have been her. After all she has a good reason to wear a veil.
To: HarmlessLovableFuzzball
Maybe not. Just saw she was 42, so there is a 100 year age difference.

So I guess that "face" your accusers only meant you'd be allowed
to see them.
But they might be covered with a sheet?

Why who could expect a Court to uphold the right of one to confront witnesses and have effective cross-examination against the wonderful traditions of such a noble religion as Islam ? -- especially in Michiganistan. Cair just needs to make a list of all the things we do wrong so we can correct them all at once. So much more convenient than this piece meal method.

Ginnnah Muhammad, 42, of Detroit, plans to wear a niqab a scarf and veil that covers her head and face, leaving only the eyes visible at her Feb. 21 hearing. How will that change anything?
Unless she gets the "special privilege" of instant fingerprint identification (assuming she would submit to that!)?

then her opposition in this court case should wear all veils or masks too.
If she can wear one so can everybody else. They should all come to court with sheets over their heads and little eye-holes cut out.
To: San Jacinto
Cair just needs to make a list of all the things we do wrong 1. American non-muslims breath air.
2. See #1 above.
